Chapter 13: The dangers

David took another breath and looked down at the map. “Six and a half minutes to get in, get the painting, and get out. The heat is non-existent so far, but there are some feds in the area. I’m working to take care of them.” He managed not to smile at the thought. “I don’t think it will be a problem.”

Collins raised an eyebrow. But he didn’t ask any of the wrong questions. “Tell me about the bank.”

“The bank is a few blocks away.” David pointed off the map, about where the bank would be. “I figure we blow the front of the bank, have it go off just about the time we want to go inside. The explosion should knock every alarm system in the area into overdrive. Quinn does a bad job hacking in and leaves a solid trace. When all is said and done, the cops will think that was what people were after. We go in, we take the painting, and we’re gone. By the time they figure out nothing was stolen from the bank and look at the museum, we’ll just be memories.”
