Chapter 27: Isn't a straight man on this planet out of your league

Montana stumbled out of the bar not too long after that. He said he had to get up early, but Autumn thought she understood what he was really saying. The beers were starting to get to him, and he didn’t want to make an ass out of himself.

At least, that was the hope.

Ian walked over and bumped her with his hip once Montana was out of sight. “Cute,” Ian said.

“What?”

“That guy. He’s a cutie.” Ian popped open a beer and handed it to a patron. “Why don’t you go after him?”

She shrugged. “I don’t know. I’m not sure I want to.”

Ian nodded. “Too infatuated with that Steven boy, huh?”

Autumn blushed. “Shut up,” she said. But she knew he was right. Steven was perfect, chiseled, beautiful. Montana was cute. Wouldn’t he just be settling? Autumn didn’t want to settle.

“You really should let him go.”

“Why?”

Ian shrugged, but his face said that he knew more than he was letting on. “I’m not sure he’s right for you.”

“You saying he’s out of my league?”
