After the night I had with Caroline, I can’t help but think of what I want to do today. It could be smart, it could be stupid, but I know either way, I must do it. As soon as I opened my eyes this morning, I knew exactly what I needed to do, and if I don’t broach the subject now, I’m afraid I never will. 


Waking up with her in my arms was the answer to everything I wondered if I would ever have again. I have it, and I have to cherish it, be honest with it, and never let bullsh*t get in the way again.


“Where are you taking me?” she asks as she hops into the passenger side of my truck. 


Holding onto the steering wheel with both hands, gripping it tightly, I turn so that I face her. “I think you and Katie should meet each other.”


She gasps audibly, probably as surprised as I am by what I’ve suggested. “Are you sure?”


Letting go of the steering wheel is hard, but I do, grabbing her hand in mine. "I'm sure. It's time you meet her and she meet you."
