My lips feel like fire from where they were touching Christian's lips.
We were not even kissing properly, our lips were just touching, no moment.
Still, something around my heart seems to loosen a bit, as if something was free inside me a bit.
Christian's eyes bore into mine and at that moment I knew I was lost forever. I don't know what is my relationship with him and if I will ever be something more to him, but I knew one thing I won't be separated from his life that easily.
A sudden moment behind us jolted me back to reality, I quickly got up straight. Stupidly looking anywhere but at him.
What was more stupid was my next words, "I am sorry that was a mistake,"
When there was no response, I finally looked at him and saw him staring at me like he could not believe what I had said.
Suddenly he smirked but it only shows the sadness reeking from his heart. I mentally slapped myself for ruining the moment.
"We have to go back," He said, standing up, completely ignoring the topic.
He started walking back the way we came, thinking I will follow him and of course I did.
It was not until we were near his car when I was going to sit in the back seat that he spoke again.
"I am not your driver that I will drive when you'll comfortably sit back. Ride the shotgun!" He half whispered half yelled at me.
I oblige without comment because I don't want to make the matter worse than it was already.
He got in the driving seat and started the engine.
Throughout the ride, I was peeking at him, I noticed how he was frowning continuously, how tight his grip on the steering wheel was and how fast he was driving.
When we reached his house, He parked the car in front of the house, not even bothering to park inside the garage. Walking away from me without a word.
I huffed, getting out of the car, I found a petite woman perched on the front porch. Binnie.
"So, How was it?" She asked me with a small smile from where she was sitting.
I looked at Christian's retreating back, He was walking inside the forest, probably to take out his frustration one way or another.
I heaved a sigh, "Unplanned, Not entirely good," I replied Binnie.
She stood up, offering me her hand which I took immediately. It was very easy to get along with someone like Binnie.
"Will you change it for anything?" She asked me with a look of sympathy as we walked inside.
The house was oddly comforting and quiet. We walked inside the dining hall and took a seat in front of each other.
Binnie was looking at me patiently, I mused over today's incidents. While it was not entirely good but will I change the moment I spent with Christian for anything?
The answer was clear. "No, I guess I will not change it," I told Binnie.
She beamed at me, "I just knew it! You are already falling for him!" She whispered and yelled at me.
My eyes went wide, "What are you saying? keep your volume down!" I warned her, looking here and there to see if someone might have heard.
Binnie laughed at my silliness. "Don't worry, no one is here, they all are gone for a pack meeting," She explained.
That helped me relax, "You are too much, Binnie, what if someone has heard you? And no, I haven't fallen for him. Anyways it doesn't matter because he has his girl already," I rambled out whatever came into my mouth to avoid her suspiciousness.
At least it worked to divert her attention. "Which girl? what do you mean?" She asked with a look of confusion.
I looked at her, contemplating just how much should I trust her. Then I realised I don't have anything to lose by trusting her, so be it.
"I overheard them talking, her name was—ahh It was Kate or was Kathe, I just can't remember her name clearly. But it looked like they were pretty close together for a long time," I explained everything to Binnie. Even telling her what I heard and how Christian was with that girl last night.
"Ohh! Her name is Katherine, I don't think she will be a problem for you," Binnie assured me.
I arched a brow at her, "How do you know?" I asked her, genuinely curious.
Binnie leaned towards me as if telling me a very intriguing story, then again, maybe she was, "Katherine is not like you think, she might be heaving lava for now but she is a kind soul. Her parents died in a rogue attack. Her father gave her responsibility to Alpha Christian, Katherine just took his care as his love. That's why she is jealous."
I think over what she told me. Then I realised I concluded Katherine too soon without knowing her. "Maybe you are right," I agreed with Binnie.
"I am always right, So, what is your next step? Should not you do something to make it up for Alpha?" She asked nosily.
I felt my face heating up from a blush, I looked at my lap, "What can I do?" I asked in return.
Binnie slapped her forehead, "Bimbo! You have to convince him to forgive your actions. From what you told me, he has forgiven you for many things until now. If someone else have slapped him, They would not have seen the next sunrise," She told me dramatically.
I rolled my eyes at her, "Did someone tell you that you are overly dramatic?" I asked her with a smile.
Binnie made a gesture to think, "Well there is this person who calls me his mate, Yeah he tells me every day that our pups will be dramatic like me," She told me looking at me with a pout.
I stared at her before we both fell into a fit of laughter.
When I caught my breath, "That was kind of cute of him, How did you guys meet?" I asked her.
It was her turn to blush, her hazel eyes shimmering with gleam. "It was a year back, It was a packs union, I felt that gravitational pull that lured me to him. I have always tried to plan how will I meet him when I am close to my mate. When I finally met him, I knew that this isn't something to be planned.
"The goddess has already planned far better for you than you ever could. That's what is a gravitation force for me. It is the pull that attracts you to your mate.'" When she was done explaining to me. There was a pause just before someone called Binnie's name outside.
Her eyes went wide, "Oh I have to go, He is home. I haven't cooked anything. Jesus, I am in trouble," With that being said she waved me goodbye and ran out of the house.
Leaving me with my thoughts. How I wish that for myself. A mate for a happily ever after.
Christian's face flashed in front of my eyes. Does he have a mate out there too? Will I be left alone when she came?
Why the thought of it hurts and ignite pure jealousy inside me?
