Chapter 874

Southern Delki, the fracture zone.

"Oh, this is unfair!"

"After all that effort, elder sister Mary managed to take down the leader only for a new major fracture to open up. These demon bastards! Are they trying to make the war too easy? How can they launch such large-scale attacks so easily?"

The Tona brothers shouted.

While Mary was dealing with the commander-level demon, the Tona brothers and the clan knights were in charge of the remaining forces of the True Demon World in the battle.

Mary was catching her breath, still wearing her blood-soaked armor. Most of the blood was purple, the color of the demons she had just slain, but there was a hint of red mixed in, her own blood.

"Are you alright, elder sister?"

"Ugh, not dead yet. Damn it, that damn guy could have died in another blow if he hadn't used that desperate move at the end. The bastard suddenly self-destructed?"

"Don't be pretentious, it was close, elder sister. I was afraid that you would die."

"Yes, that guy introduced himself as a well-known person in the True Demon World, maybe a general from a noble family or something like that. He seemed to want to show off, but there's no need to overplay it. Anyway, elder sister, you fought well."

"Quiet down. Let's hold on until reinforcements arrive. Within the next minute, the one coming out of that fracture is undoubtedly much stronger than the guy I just dealt with. The energy I sense is on a completely different level…."

Mary, the Tona brothers, and the knights were all tense, their senses sharpened. The battle they just fought had already left them exhausted.

If reinforcements didn't arrive soon, while the flagbearers might be alright, there would likely be many casualties among the knights.

Mary blinked as she infused aura into Viper.

The Tona brothers and the knights formed a defensive formation around her.

Moments later, a burst of purple demonic energy exploded from the great fracture, sending shockwaves that shattered the knights' defensive formation.

Following the explosion, a demon emerged from the fracture.

He carried twin swords at his waist, and his eyes glowed with intensity despite being partially obscured by his long hair.

As he took a step forward, massive buildings and structures suddenly sprang up around the battlefield, summoned from the dimension of the True Demon World.

The knights were forced to scatter due to the ground-shaking impact, their formation disrupted.

"Sigh, is Saikal dead?"

The demon spoke, glaring at Mary, who had regained her position.

Before answering, Mary and the knights quickly surveyed their surroundings.

The summoned fortress was teeming with demon forces, and they had already effectively surrounded the knights.

"Making a flashy entrance once again, demon. Yeah, I killed him."

"What is your name, human?"

"Mary Runcandel, 7th Flagbearer of Runcandel."

"Ah, Runcandel... the first sword among humans. I am Flek Kaluga, Commander of Kaluga. The one you killed, Saikal, was my henchman."

"Is that so?"

"Even if I were to kill you a thousand times, this futility will not wane. However, I can only kill you once, so prepare to meet your end in the most agonizing manner as I pour my heart into it."

Just as Flek was about to draw his twin swords...

[Booong!]

Out of nowhere, a white dimensional gate opened in the sky above the battlefield, and the snow toad let out a cry.

Thud!

Three figures landed on the ground from atop Mort.

It was Syris, Luna, and Luntia.

The knights inwardly sighed with relief as they saw them.

Of course, they didn't show a disheveled appearance, and they immediately saluted properly.

"Elder Sisters!"

"Oh, elder sisters!"

"Glad you're not too late."

"Is Mary hurt?"

"What? Really!? Who's the damn bastard who made our Mary like this?"

"I killed him myself. So I was a bit tired and was planning to take a break, and now this new demon shows up wanting to kill me."

Luna and Luntia both turned their heads sharply and glared at Flek simultaneously.

"I am Luna Runcandel. Did you dare to threaten my sister?"

"You're a lucky one. If you had so much as touched a hair on Mary's head, I would have made you suffer a painful death. I might just kill you a bit more moderately now."

"Um, elder sisters, Haytona and I are here as well. We could have been hit."

"1st flagbearer, 3rd flagbearer. I need to go check on another area immediately. Please dismount."

"Oh, right. Sorry, acting master of Hidden Palace. Get going quickly!"

"Thank you for transporting us so swiftly. We'll be sorting things out here, so if you need support elsewhere, come back."

"Then, please take care."

[Boong. Booong.]

Mort leaped up once again and disappeared into the white dimensional gate.

Luna and Luntia relaxed their bodies and raised their swords, Krantel and Charles.

"Where were we? Anyway, the price for trying to torment our Mary is very high. None of the demons gathered here today will survive."

"Let the ones trying to escape go. If they can escape, that is...".

The Tona brothers once again said, "Elder sisters, we're..." but Luna and Luntia were too focused on Flek and the demons to hear.

The perplexed Tona brothers laughed awkwardly and cursed Flek together.

"Since our elder sisters arrived, you're finished now!"

Flek was momentarily taken aback by their overwhelming presence, but the newly arrived two flagbearers were prominent figures in the Runcandel clan.

"Luna Runcandel and Luntia Runcandel... Among the two of you, you, the White Whale, are capable of using the Crimson Sword Technique, they say. Show me, is it really true?"

"You know everything, huh? Well, I might use it if needed, but I think I can take care of you easily..."

"Unnie, you will take care of that. I'll eliminate the troops. And Mary, Tona brothers."

"Oh, finally got to hear our names."

"The knights and you will retreat together. You need to recover quickly to fight again."

"Understood. We'll leave it to you then. Oh, unnie. And watch out for those guys. The guy I killed also suddenly exploded himself when he was pushed back."

As Mary and the knights retreated, Flek immediately sent sword aura toward them.

The demon forces surrounding them also fired sword aura, magic, and cannons.

However, Flek's sword aura was blocked by Krantel, and the attacks from the troops were neutralized as Luntia leaped into the air and dispersed sword aura all around.

"Everyone has tried to read us in one glance. Even in this dark situation, doing that would lead to trouble...".

Thump!

Krantel and Flek's twin swords clashed.

With a single strike, the ground beneath Flek's feet sank, and Flek widened his eyes and pushed Luna away.

Meanwhile, Luntia had plunged into the enemy lines, beginning her massacre of the demon forces.

Most of them disappeared entirely as her thrusts obliterated their heads in one go, not even leaving time for a final scream.

The higher-ranking demon managed to dodge a couple of strikes after defending a couple of sword strikes.

Crash!

Thud!

Krantel continuously clashed against Flek's twin swords.

Each time Luna swung her sword, enormous sword marks were left in the ground and clouds.

Mary had described Flek as a vastly different opponent from Saikal, but from Luna's perspective, he was merely a somewhat unique enemy.

"It's amusing how you struggled against my tired sister, demon. If it hadn't been a continuous battle, you wouldn't have been able to pressure Mary like this."

Flek didn't respond, he was recalling several instances of defeat before he became the commander.

Among them, the figure of someone who had thoroughly overwhelmed him overlapped particularly with Luna.

Paellito Belgasyum, the First Sword of the True Demon World.

'Indeed, you were not just bluffing, White Whale. After Sir Paellito and Sir Laiset, have I been this completely overwhelmed before?'

Flek quickly came to a conclusion.

Escape.

There was no point in fighting to the death when the outcome was predetermined. Even if he were to inflict debilitating injuries like Saikal's self-destruction, it would be too much to hope for fatal wounds.

Luna, after all, would recover again and massacre the demons as usual.

'The duel against the White Whale will be postponed until after Lord Zito grants me more power.'

Unfortunately, Flek's thoughts were clear to Luna. From his sword, Luna sensed the desperate feeling that she had seen in the 'relatively weaker' opponents she had faced until now.

He was clearly weaker than herself, yet Flek was one of the True Demon World's commanders.

If Luna missed him today, Flek would kill and torture countless humans in the future. Therefore, Luna chose not to let him escape.

She didn't even allow him the opportunity to open a dimensional gate for escape or use spatial jumps.

"As you wish, I will show you."

Mind's Blade: Blood Moon.

Krantel glowed red. At that moment, Flek was attempting to teleport as Luna had predicted.

He was initiating a Dark Magic Spatial Jump spell using the demon troops, who were confronted by Luntia, as sacrifice.

Flek believed that even if Luna used the Crimson Sword, he could still escape.

In the past, he had escaped in a similar manner when confronting Paellito.

-If the fact that she used the Crimson Sword is true, that human named Luna Runcandel, alongside Chiron Runcandel, is the most dangerous person to Lord Zito right now.

But Flek was unaware of what Paellito had said about Luna and the Crimson Sword.

Flek, like Paellito, didn't understand the true nature of the Crimson Sword.

Therefore, he concluded that there was no way he, who had fled from Paellito, could not escape against Luna

A dimensional gate opened.

With just a single step, Flek could immediately enter that gate and arrive at the fortress where Jin and Sakiel were stationed.

And Flek thought he had taken that step.

And that was Flek Kaluga, the True Demon World's commander's last conscious thought.

Contrary to Flek's awareness, his body had completely disintegrated into particles as soon as the dimensional gate opened, swept away by the Crimson Sword.

"Whew!"

Luna wiped her sweat and looked at the spot where Flek and the dimensional gate had disappeared.

'Due to the previous Great Fissure, using it successively like this is quite tiring... I'll have to refrain from using it for a while. I wonder if this will further reduce the number of times my father says.'

Luntia, who was in the midst of breaking the demon forces and their fortress, looked at Luna with a shrug.

Because of Flek's use of them as a sacrifice, the enemy had disappeared in an instant.

"Huh? Unnie! Are you okay?"

"I overexerted myself a bit to not let him go. Now that things are settled here, I'll contact the youngest and ask about the situation in the other areas. I need to rest a bit back at Tikan."
