Li Na's heart raced. "Back from where?"
Meilin's lips curved into a half-smile. "Nevermind."
Meilin pointed to Li Na's knee, where the scratch marred her skin. "Should I help you with that?"
Li Na glanced down. "No," she said. "I'll just clean it up and put a band-aid over it. Given that it was caught on camera, it would be weird if my wounds magically healed up."
Meilin nodded in agreement. "You're right."
Lucia, feeling the strain in her back, sighed heavily. "I just want to get out of here; my back is killing me."
"Alright, why don't you get going? Aiden and I will keep watch."
Li Na's body tensed at the mention of Aiden. "He's here as well?"
"Yes, don't worry, he won't do anything," Meilin reassured her with a gentle nod.
