Li Yifeng's Confessions

"Yifeng, I'm sorry! I thought it was the towel," Zhang Mei stammered, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment.

Li Yifeng sat up, wiping his face with his sleeve. "You threw water on me?"

"It seems to have worked, didn't it?"

" Mei, we need to find those documents. They're crucial, if not we're truly screwed."

Zhang Mei's eyes were wide with disbelief as she stared at him. "How are we screwed?" she asked, her voice trembling.

"Those documents... they were the key we had to the company, and even this house. If we go bankrupt from this scandal, no one's going to save us."

She began to sweat, the gravity of their situation sinking in. "What was in the document?" she pressed.

Li Yifeng placed his hand on his forehead, a gesture of overwhelming stress. "I can't say," he muttered, his voice strained.

Zhang Mei got up, her legs wobbling beneath her. "Have things gotten so bad?" she whispered, her heart sinking.
