Chapter 32

Three hours later, Felicia held two vials filled with a cloudy liquid.

“Is that it?” Sebastian asked in a quiet voice, and Felicia nodded her head. “This is it, this is the cure. We need to get to Noelani’s as soon as possible.”

“Aren’t you going to give yourself the cure first?” Sebastian asked her, and the woman shook her head in response as she walked out of the lab with him. “We don’t know how much longer Brian has to live. I’m still up and kicking, but Brian’s so weak that he can’t even get up out of bed. Right now, he needs the cure far more than I do.”

They raced out to the car, and Sebastian gave Felicia his phone. “Call Noelani and tell her that we’re on our way.”

But Felicia hadn’t even been able to say anything on the phone, because when Noelani answered, she sounded like she was in tears.

“Noelani, what’s wrong?” Felicia asked in concern. Were they too late?
