He opened his eyes to his room, the curtains was still closed. He reached for the glass of water on the lamp stand quenching his test.

What happened to him? He thought.

Clara entered with a tray of food, she was excited about meeting him after his revelation. Finally she can get her man back.

"You look happy, today why is that?"

"Nothing, here let me help you up."

"Thank you"

She had alot of questions on her tongue, but she tied them there for now. Patience she repeated to her self.

"Mhhmm, chicken soup my favorite" he smiled, closing his eyes to inhale more of the aroma.

"Good, cause this is what I will be feeding you with"

"Glad somethings never change" he said opening his mouth for the spoon full of soup.

"What do you mean?"

He rolled his eyes before answering. "Sweet cheeks lying doesn't suit you"

"Wait are you telling me you remember everything" she couldn't help but ask

"Not all but bits, the fact I remember who you are is a plus"

She was filled with joy, she knew it would take time but this was quick, she wouldn't complain one bit. She had tears of joy on her face or so she thought.

"Clara, Clara are you listening to me" she heard someone call her, it sounded distant. Not Untill she felt a slight pinch on her arm, did she blink back"

"Ouch! What was that for?"

"For going to la la land,i was talking to you, care to tell me what I was talking about?"

"Ermm, you remembering something?"

"That was close enough I will take that."

"You asked me if I remembered anything, and I told you no. Seconds later you went off"

"Wait, you don't remember anything"

"I do, when you say it like that it sounds like I lost it again. I don't remember much after I ate chocolate cupcake and... "She watched as he scrunched his nose, forcing lines to appear on his forehead.

Reality sunk into her as she processed what he said.

"We are back to square one"

"What did you say?"

"Nothing, I have to, to excuse me" she bolted out of the room.

"Breath Clair, you can do this" she told herself, trying to steady her breathing. It's been a while she had panic attack. She slid down the door of her room, until she was sitting on the floor.

She didn't want to believe, she daydreamed about him remembering.

Why would date by so cruel raising her hope only to crush it to pieces. She was still a stranger to him, she was back to square one.
