Me, Alien

There was no response in the room.

Ning Qiuer was still frightened, which was normal. It was indeed creepy that the person she thought she had left behind suddenly appeared in her house at night, plus the scene she just saw.

He knocked on the door again, and still got no response. Xia Yu spoke again, "If you don't open the door, I will squeeze in through the gap, you know!"

Another scream came, and Xia Yu saw that the gap in the door, which was originally letting in some light, had been stuffed with something.

Did she really believe it?

Forget it, let's not provoke her anymore.

Xia Yu went downstairs, opened the refrigerator in the kitchen, and saw various drinks, even fruit wine. He picked up a bottle of orange juice, checked the production date, which was in October of this year, and now it was December, so it was very fresh.

It seemed that Ning Qiuer often stayed here or had someone regularly clean and change things in the villa.

Putting the orange juice back, and grabbing a bottle of Sprite, Xia Yu sat on the sofa, took out chips from under the coffee table, turned on the TV, and ate while watching.

Three hours later, Liu Manman called.

Using his memory, Xia Yu guided Liu Manman to the villa.

Hearing the engine sound, Xia Yu opened the door, and saw Liu Manman and An Siyao getting out of the car.

This surprised Xia Yu a lot.

He pulled An Siyao over and asked, "Why did you come too? It's so dangerous at night."

At the side, Liu Manman raised her eyebrows, "When you called me to come, why didn't you say it was dangerous at night!"

After three seconds of silence, Xia Yu looked at Liu Manman sincerely, "Because I believe in your ability."

"Ahaha," Liu Manman scratched her head, believing it.

Sighing that these young girls were so easy to deceive, Xia Yu looked at An Siyao next to him. An Siyao grabbed his hand, "I can do it too."

Pinching her face, Xia Yu whispered, "I still don't feel at ease."

"I'm here," a voice appeared behind him.

Turning his head, Xia Yu saw Hu Lianglu.

Having Hu Lianglu was indeed a bit safer. However, after all, Hu Lianglu was just an ordinary girl and couldn't even beat a little thug.

Maybe some training would do?

Putting that matter aside for now, Xia Yu led everyone into the villa.

"Where's Qiuer?" Liu Manman asked.

"She's in her room upstairs. You go get her down," Xia Yu responded. Although Liu Manman had arrived and made the questions less direct, it was better than having Ning Qiuer hide from him.

"Why didn't she reply when I texted her?" Liu Manman asked again.

Xia Yu pointed to the pink phone on the coffee table, indicating that Ning Qiuer couldn't see the messages right now.

Taking Ning Qiuer's phone, Liu Manman went upstairs. Because Ning Qiuer covered the door gap, Liu Manman couldn't determine which room Ning Qiuer was in through the light, so she called out loudly.

Ning Qiuer, who was inside the room, saw Liu Manman's arrival in the window. Her mood had actually calmed down long ago. She just didn't know how to face Xia Yu. Her behavior just now was indeed very bad.

Hearing Liu Manman's voice, she opened the door.

Upon seeing Ning Qiuer, Liu Manman immediately hugged her.

Feeling the warmth of Liu Manman's embrace, Ning Qiuer's originally stiff expression softened.

It wasn't until Liu Manman asked, "What are you going to do about the child?"

"There is no child!" Ning Qiuer forcefully pounded Liu Manman's back.

Considering that Ning Qiuer was a pregnant woman, Liu Manman didn't press further. She said, "Don't worry, I've already brought An Siyao over. You guys can discuss a feasible plan directly!"

"He wanted to learn where I live from you, so he deceived you. You were so gullible!" Ning Qiuer revealed the truth, "I have a piano piece he wants here. He wants to know about the piece."

"Eh?" Liu Manman's face showed three parts surprise and seven parts disappointment. She sighed.

Pulling Liu Manman down to the first floor, Ning Qiuer saw Xia Yu.

The two exchanged glances, communicated with the others tacitly for a while, brought out a game for them to play, and then went to the balcony.

Pulling back the curtains, the large floor-to-ceiling window made the night sky exceptionally close. Although some of the stars in the sky were still covered by light pollution, there were already many more stars visible than in the city.

"How did you come here?" Ning Qiuer asked first.

"I was just in the back seat of your car." Xia Yu didn't answer fully, waiting for Ning Qiuer to ask him how he got into the car.

But Ning Qiuer didn't ask. She stared at the night sky outside the window, her hands gripping her arms tightly.

"So, am I your test subject? What do you plan to do with me?" Her voice was soft and trembled.

Test subject? What did it mean, what did he plan to do with her?

Xia Yu couldn't figure it out, but he understood why Ning Qiuer ran away. She thought he was a villain.

"I just want to know where the Moonlight Sonata came from. I don't plan to or can harm you in any way, especially since we're in a law-abiding society in District 1." Xia Yu said half-truthfully and half-falsely.

"Do aliens also have to obey District 1's laws?" Ning Qiuer looked at Xia Yu in surprise.

"Don't talk about aliens, even foreign stars or different worlds have to comply with the relevant regulations of District 1." Xia Yu made a joke. "Of course, this is just my guess because I'm just an ordinary person."

"Really?" Ning Qiuer was overjoyed, feeling reassured and trustful with someone of the same race.

"Where do I look like an alien?" Xia Yu was puzzled as to why Ning Qiuer would think so.

"Then how did you suddenly appear in my car?" Ning Qiuer counter-questioned.

"...I wondered why you didn't keep asking. I took a shortcut through the pedestrian street to get in front of you and then jumped onto your car." Xia Yu rubbed his forehead. "You're already old enough, can't you be more mature? There's no such thing as an alien!"

"How is that possible? I was driving so fast, how could you jump on it!" Ning Qiuer didn't believe Xia Yu's words.

In order to gain trust, Xia Yu had to perform. He took out his mobile phone.

"Throw it at me with all your strength." He handed the phone to Ning Qiuer.

Ning Qiuer threw the phone hard at Xia Yu's arm, but the phone landed steadily in Xia Yu's hand.

"Do you believe me now?" Xia Yu put the phone back in his pocket.

Ning Qiuer nodded, basically believing him.

"So, let's talk about the Moonlight Sonata. Where did you get this piano piece?" Finally able to know the truth, Xia Yu put his hands in his pockets, straightened his back, and was a bit nervous.

"In my dreams." Ning Qiu'er answered.

"From your dreams?" Withdrawing his hand from his pocket, Xia Yu stroked his chin.

The answer was beyond his expectation. He initially had two guesses: either Ning Qiu'er was a fellow earthling or she was the body he had traveled to the past with.

Both possibilities could explain why Ning Qiu'er knew about the Moonlight Sonata, and the latter could explain why her songs had two sections of his own melodies.

But it turned out to be a dream.

"Can you be more specific?" Xia Yu wanted to find more clues.

"It's just a dream. You've had them too, right? Where you write a poem or something in your dream. But most people forget the specifics upon waking up. I just remember them clearly." Ning Qiu'er gestured with her hands, trying to make her words more believable.

Scratching her head, she added, "I even thought it was some kind of experiment by you, an alien."

Leaning against the window, Xia Yu pondered Ning Qiu'er's words.

Creating music in a dream seemed a bit far-fetched, but he was willing to believe it. However, the Moonlight Sonata was obviously not a piece that could be created.

"Is there a problem with that song?" Seeing Xia Yu silent, Ning Qiu'er asked nervously.

"It was written by a friend of mine." Xia Yu casually passed it off.

Since Ning Qiu'er wasn't a fellow earthling, he wouldn't tell her the truth.

He asked Ning Qiu'er, "What state were you in when you were creating in your dreams?"

"I dreamt that I was singing." Ning Qiu'er replied, "And there were scenes of playing games."

"Haven't you had those dreams in recent years?" Xia Yu asked as Ning Qiu'er had stopped her star activities during these years.

Thinking of this, Ning Qiu'er became alert, "What does this have to do with you?"

"Attributing the song's copyright to you won't be a problem." Xia Yu offered a condition.

"Yes, the creative dreams disappeared and became ordinary dreams." Ning Qiu'er immediately confessed.

Nodding, Xia Yu said, "I'll give you a song every two months."

"What are you up to?" Ning Qiu'er wasn't as naive as Liu Manman and the others. She knew that Xia Yu must have some ulterior motives. No one would give benefits to someone who had no use for them for a long time.

"I might need your help later." Turning around, Xia Yu returned to the living room.

Pulling Hu Lianglu away from An Siyao, Xia Yu occupied the girl's side all by himself.

Ning Qiu'er also came to Liu Manman's side. Liu Manman looked at her friend, then at Xia Yu, chuckling to herself: The two had been quietly talking on the balcony for so long, yet they claimed to have no relationship?

Grasping Ning Qiu'er's hand, Liu Manman said earnestly, "Be careful."

"Okay." Having revealed all her secrets, Ning Qiu'er was panicking inside and didn't notice the hidden meaning in Liu Manman's words.

This made Liu Manman even more certain.

She sighed with relief, glad that she hadn't listened to her grandmother and made progress with Xia Yu; otherwise, she would have gotten mixed up in such a chaotic relationship.

After a while, the maid brought by Liu Manman had prepared dinner, and the hungry Xia Yu and Ning Qiuer ate together, playing with a few others.

Late at night, Xia Yu pretended to be too sleepy and went to the guest room on the second floor.

He hadn't used his gaming opportunity today, and if he didn't use it soon, it would expire.

After browsing through many options, Xia Yu went to Yuzue's place. Now it was late at night, and there was nothing to do, so he could only sleep, and going to Yuzue's place would give him more game points.

With the accumulated game points he had, he could exchange them for experience cards, which could upgrade a skill from level 1 to level 5.

After spending an ordinary night at Yuzue's place, Xia Yu returned to his own body the next morning.

As he came out of the second-floor guest room, he looked downstairs, and there was no one in the living room below.

He then went to Ning Qiuer's bedroom, and through the open door, Xia Yu saw four girls sleeping together in the bed.

He didn't know how late they had partied last night to end up like this.

He wondered if he could have joined them if he hadn't left.

After some thought, Xia Yu felt it was better not to join.

As a good man, he must know to keep his distance from other women.

As he was about to turn and leave, Hu Lianglu, who was sleeping at the edge, woke up, yawned and sat up in a daze.

She rubbed her eyes and looked around with sleepy eyes.

Upon seeing Xia Yu at the door, her eyes shot wide open, and she became alert. Pulling up the quilt, she wrapped An Siyao tightly, at the cost of leaving Liu Manman without a quilt.

Xia Yu did not linger, but turned around and left to freshen up.

By the time he went downstairs, the maid in the kitchen had already begun to prepare breakfast.

After eating noodles with Hu Lianglu, Xia Yu stopped her as she was about to leave.

"Watch An Siyao closely and don't let her go out to remote places at night," Xia Yu said, referring to An Siyao's visit last night.

"You don't need to worry about it," Hu Lianglu said hostilely to Xia Yu.

"It's dangerous like this. Do you want her to face danger?" Xia Yu patiently explained.

"I'll be with her, nothing will happen," Hu Lianglu said confidently. In the aristocratic school, she was like a lone wolf in a flock of sheep, having a high self-esteem.

Xia Yu used a mocking tone to provoke Hu Lianglu's desire to attack.

"Come on, let's go outside," Xia Yu decided to take this opportunity to teach Hu Lianglu a lesson.

With a cold snort, Hu Lianglu followed Xia Yu.

The maid in the kitchen, who had heard their conversation, wiped her wet hands clean and also went outside. If there was an accident, she would rescue them immediately.

Xia Yu beckoned to Hu Lianglu, and the easily angered girl immediately charged forward and threw a punch.

Xia Yu dodged the punch by side-stepping and took a couple of light steps back to create some distance between him and Hu Lianglu.

Rather than solving Hu Lianglu's problem immediately, Xia Yu wanted her to realize how weak she was.

Upon seeing this, the maid silently returned to the house. Based on her experience as a first district boxing runner-up, she knew there wouldn't be any danger between the two.

The reason for injuries during friendly exchanges is that both parties are unable to hold back. However, it was evident that Hu Lianglu didn't even have the qualifications to make Xia Yu take action; the gap was just too big.

Such a one-sided battle wouldn't have any accidents.

Just as the maid predicted, no matter how hard Hu Lianglu tried, she couldn't touch Xia Yu at all. Instead, she tripped and fell several times.

Picking herself up from the ground, Hu Lianglu brushed her hair that had fallen in front of her face to the back, panting as she looked at Xia Yu.

She didn't expect that this pretty boy would be so formidable.

But she wasn't discouraged, clenching her fists and preparing to attack again. At this time, she saw that Xia Yu didn't wait with his hands down as usual but instead raised his fists.

He was coming at her with an attack.
