Studying in London wasn't as easy as he thought, not that he found difficulty with his studies but that he missed his woman.
"my woman" was what he called her ever since she turned eighteen.
It's three months now he has been at Oxford but it seems three years. Oxford wasn't like back at high school where he was always close to her. Out of sight does not mean out of mind says an old saying. Despite being far from her, he wasn't interested in other girls not even Oxford women who try to throw themselves at him. Jimi wasn't an amiable kind of person and wasn't interested in making friends. Not yet, friendship comes far too early for Jimi. He can only be seen talking to a few people which was often about studies he had no close friends yet. To him, friendship has to do with loyalty and trust, he can't differentiate between family and friends as a result he has just Johnny whom he has befriended seen they were kids. Despite Johnny being a playboy he values his friendship with Jimi. Despite being the son of a diplomatic businessman who owns several large conglomerates and other subsidiaries he wasn't interested in them. To Jimi it's family business, it's his father's dream, not his.
Jimi was bored staying at home during the weekend. As usual, he decided to go out and have some fun. Messing around wasn't his thing but sometimes, he went to the club to lighten up.
He walked into the bathroom to get a warm bath. Bathing wasn't regular over there due to the cool. He often hears the British people talk about having lovely weather but what is lovely about it, nothing can be more lovely than the warm weather in Nigeria.
Immediately as bathing, he heard a kick on his door. hello buddy! Jimi! Open up, man! A familiar voice keeps yelling his name from behind. It's no one other than Bayo a Nigerian student whom he helped a few weeks ago. Bayo was seriously broke and was about to borrow some money from Jimi but instead, jimi gave him more than he requested and introduced him to a hotel manager who used to be his father's friend. Bayo was employed that same day as a part-time hotel attendant. After his first pay, he decided to pay Jimi back the loan but Jimi refused it saying he just wanted to help a brother.
Jimi opened the door for Bayo to come in.
"Man, you kept me waiting outside what happened, oh! You thought I was one of those Oxford ladies?
"stop joking around "Jimi reproved him," he is just like Johnny" Jimi thought.
