Matsuno saw only red with ringing in his ears. He unsheathed his katana as he ran up to a man quickly, decapitating the Shogunate man, inflicting fear into many seeing this as then the Shogunate retreated as Matsuno started to snap back to reality.
Matsuno shouted the order, "BACK IN THE TRENCHES AND OPEN FIRE ON THE TRAITORS WHO DARE TO DISTURB THE EMPEROR'S MIND AS HE HAVE MADE AN OATH THAT IS TO GO THROUGH FIRE AND WATER TO BRING PEACE TO THE EMPEROR'S MIND!!" The men opened fire upon the Shogunate as they were filled with rage dropping men with the new rifles and old rifles with the men who held this position with now reinforcements to hold with them.
Finally, the firing stopped as the men looked at the bodies laying with no mercy or empathy given to the men who dared to betray the Emperor's divine will and right like unhonourable savages.
Matsuno said, breaking the silence, saying, "MEN YOU HAVE PROMISED AND KEPT THE PROMISE OF THE EMPERORS TASK TO FIGHT AND RETAKE THE POWER AND DIVINE WILL OF HIS RIGHTS TO DO THE DUTIES HE IS NEEDED TO DEFINE WHAT WE THE MEN WHO HOLD AND THIS COUNTRY WHICH NEEDS TO BE CLEANSED AND REBUILD BACK THE FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS THIS COUNTRY NEEDS TO HOLD TOGETHER AND BROTHERS, BANZAI!" The men cheered with a banzai war cry together as Matsuno got on his horse as he went back to the trenches and went with Aiko and the Quatermasters.
Matsuno approached with his horse as he said to them, "So, what's the damage?" Aiko said "Well Matsuno we lost about 31 men though there are good things that have happened as we have new artillery pieces, equipment, and a new batch of recruits coming at least 142 of them." Matsuno nodded as he turned to the Quatermasters, saying,"How about the munitions?" one of the Quatermasters replied."We seem to be fine on Munitions, though we do need some more time to regather everything." Matsuno nodded as he rode back to his tent to check on notes and letters for commands and such.
Matsuno dismounted before entering his tent, where he saw some letters, one from his superiors stating, "Once you're ready, move to the port to the east, there you will be given about 145 men and be delievered the rifles and uniforms needed, as for the transportation your men will be moved by a fleet where they were drop you off at the Choschu region, there you will march to Kyoto and reform with the army group."
