Retraining the Men

Matsuno would move with his men with finally Company A and Company B back from the unrest the handled. Matsuno moved through the boarding plank with his men moving, setting their equipment down on the ship's floor before lining up to the wall with their rifle butts planted on the ground. Matsuno shouted the order,

"NCOs, STEP OUT OF LINE AND PREFORM INSPECTION OF UNIFORMS, EQUIPMENT, AND FIREARMS",

The NCOs quickly moved at a fast pace, checking out the equipment and such with all of the men knowing well enough how to be disciplined and such.

The men stood as finally when the inspection was over, the men would grab their equipment, heading to their bunks as well mounting their rifles on a rifle rack. Finally, the men went to sleep as Matsuno and Aiko went to the planning room in the ship as they disembarked. Matsuno said to Aiko,

"So we need to begin to retrain the troops since we are advancing to weapons of the modern age, so we must find tactics to be used to guarantee the great effectiveness."

Aiko nodded, commenting,

"You are right since the tactics you and I have used in the past have greatly been used for rifled muskets, but since we now use the Chassepot rifle we can begin using the tactic used in the battle previously."

Matsuno agreed as he nodded.

"You are right as well. we should abandon the use of the volley fire and other old tactics and continue to use this new modern tactic."

Matsuno nodded as he said to Aiko, looking at his eyes as he clasped his hands.

"Well, it's been decided upon, we shall implement the tactic, your dismissed Aiko."

Aiko nodded as he bowed to Matsuno before raising his body, heading to his room. Matsuno headed to his room before finally heading to resting after a needed rest.

Hours of sleep later, Matsuno would be woken up by Aiko, as Aiko said to Matsuno,

"Colonel, we're here."

Matsuno took a minute to process before saying to Aiko as he got up with still his uniform on saying, "Get the men to grab their equipment and disembark off the ship and line up the Battalion."

Aiko nodded before bowing down and heading off to go execute the orders given by Matsuno. Whilst that was happening, Matsuno got up from his bed before grabbing everything and sharpening himself up before placing on his black forager cap with the Imperial Emblem on the front of the cap which was small but noticeable to all. Matsuno stepped out with his items and equipment before moving to enter the docks. Matsuno then saw all his men lined up with his men facing straight. Seeing this, he moved down before saying to his men whilst walking,

"MEN OF THE 1ST JAPANESE LINE INFANTRY BATTALION WE HAVE GREAT INFORMATION AS WE WILL BE NOW OFFICIALLY A BATTALION DUE TO HQ TELLING US THAT WE ARE GETTING 200 MORE MEN SO BEGIN TO SET UP CAMP AS TODAY WE WILL BEGIN TRAINING."

The men quickly ran to their duties as they were dismissed. While that happened, the 200 recruits already were over the horizon, then the expected time, which had a surprise to Matsuno and Aiko. Matsuno, being with Aiko, turned to him as he stated to him,

"Aiko get the 200 recruits to head to the Quatermasters area of receiving equipment and uniforms and begin training them on how to fire and such as well with many other things."

Aiko bowed before executing once again another command as he moved to do the order. This process would continue for 3 months before finally finishing training and disciplinary checks.
