Testing the tactic.

Matsuno rode on his horse before finally the column halted with Aiko riding up to Matsuno, saying,

"There's about 2,000 some Shogunate heading in front of us about a good 12 kilometers from us."

Matsuno stared as he was processing this before realizing that he had to plan this out wisely. Matsuno briefly opened his mouth, saying to Aiko,

"Split up our 499 men and move out with the half to the left, I'll head out to the right covering with the 3 10lb Armstrong Guns you can handle the rest of the other artillery battery and set up on the hill, I'll set up on the road and dig trenches."

Aiko bowed before saying,

"Your command shall be executed under the Imperial Emperor's Divine order to defend him and kick out the traitors and barbarians."

Aiko would shout orders, though Matsuno would be busy as he rode up to the Sapper's Company Officer, saying,

"Set up barbed wire near the trenches though make a pit so they won't be seen and for the stream near up make it look like the trench is apart of the stream."

The Sapper Officer bowed before turning around and moving. After the task was given, Matsuno turned to his men, saying,

"TAKE OUR YOUR SHOVELS BEGIN DIGGING TRENCHES AND NCOS TASK MEN TO CUT DOWN TREES AND MAKE SURE THE, TRENCH HAS PROPER TRENCH WALLS!"

Matsuno then turned before moving to the 2nd Commanding Artillery Officer, saying to him,

"Get the 20lb pound Armstrong Guns set up at the barn and place the barrels in a hidden spot, prepare High Explosive rounds."

Matsuno saw the officer bowing down before turning around and executing the order, and finally, after telling the orders, he moved to his own company he had been the elites. He walked to Company A with them being equipped with some experimental guns he had placed in order of rifles, with them being Type 68 rifles fitted with 8 round magazine (Basically a copy of the Gewher 71/84 he drafted to then be sent to a factory to be made) as well they had their own type of grenades as they were bamboo bombs with peices of shrapnel places in with a ignition string to chuck.

Matsuno approached before saying to the company,

"ALRIGHT COMPANY A FOLLOW ME, WE ARE HEADING TO THE TRENCHES GET YOUR RIFLES AND KITS READY AND LETS MOVE!"

The company quickly moved as they would consist of 100 men mentally and psychically prepared to move with them having the imperial symbol on each side of the collar resembling elite troops.

Finally, the company would be in the trenches as the men would wait for the enemy with the only intense feeling in the air with the rifle barrels laying on the trench wall waiting for the moment of usage upon such individuals who betrayed the Emperor and his peace. Soonly, gunfire would be given to those who wished to see the consequence of that.
