Marie

"Who is Marie?" I asked to make sure that I heard the right thing.

"She is your mother" Uncle Jude said affirming his earlier statement .

I was beyond shocked, what does he mean my mother, I thought...…..

"So Beatrix is really not our mother" Onyx said derailing my line of thoughts. My head immediately snapped up because of what onyx said 

"What do you mean by that?, what's going on?" I asked loudly.

"Calm down Cupcake, I'll explain everything to you" Uncle Jude said

Dinah's POV ....

I quietly sat in the dark cell I was thrown in, I had to get out of here, else they'll hurt Ondina and Onyx.

This was my third attempt of escaping from this cell and nothing was looking up for me.

I sighed in frustration, even my powers couldn't help me out of here.

I furiously hit the metal bars and was met with an equally stinging sensation in my hands.

This could definitely not be the end of me, I need to warn them on the upcoming dangers.

 After hours of frustrating attempts to escape from my imprisonment, I finally gave up.

"I never thought you were the kind of person that would to easily give up Dianah" 

I looked up to see someone I've never thought of seeing again.

"Marie?" I asked making sure.

"Yes, Dianah" She answered affirming my earlier thoughts. I was sure it was her only her knew my actual name.

"You know I hate that name"

"Get your lazy ass up. We don't have much time" she said .

I struggled to stand to my feet, as a result of my futile attempts in trying to escape I had secured a lot of major injuries around my body.

Margie sighed in frustration and she silently opened the bars and helped me up.

"Are you ready" she asked to which I answered with a simple nod.

She whispered something underneath her breath and a bright light covered us and we appeared in a very thick forest.

"You broke me out of that hell and brought me to a forest! Are you trying to kill me Marie?" I asked. She didn't answer me, instead she walked further into the forest leaving me by myself.

"Wait!" I shouted and followed her.

After taking a few turns we saw a clearing that led to a hut. Marie walked inside and invited me in.

After we had settled in the hut ,Marie tended to my injuries using her healing powers. I couldn't help but be shocked at her using her powers because her powers were taken from her years ago. As if reading my thoughts Marie said

" I know you must be shocked that I'm using my powers

Yea, it's very strange because I saw you lose it to save the kids" i seconded .

I expected her to say more and explain what was going on but instead she looked at me with solemn eyes and said

" I want to tell you but I can't, not yet"

" But why? Why exactly are you hiding things from me!"

I scolded her, she looked at me with apologetic eyes but still refused to say anything. I was boiling in rage.

The silence between us was awkward and tense that you could cut through it with a knife.

"I'm sorry for not being perfect and taking the wrong choice, but I really need you to trust me." Marie said in a heavy tone

"How? How do you expect me to trust a person who has done nothing but lie to me all the time" I responded with rage

"Dinah , I only have one request Onyx and Ondina must not fall prey to them" she said staring at me with unwavering eyes.

I nodded slightly and broke eye contact with her.

"Beatrix is making her move, if you want to protect your children we need to tell them everything and how it all started.

And just know that the more you delay, the quicker he awakens" I said and walked out of the shack.

I sat down on a rock outside for a while thinking about the events that happened twenty - two years ago ...…....

"You're pregnant!!!!" I shouted when Marie told me that she was once again pregnant with the King's child.

"I really tried to stop this from happening but I couldn't " she said trying to explain herself.

" I don't care what excuse you come up with but we both know that having a child at a time like this is very risky and dangerous especially after what just happened between you and the King " i said in a scolding tone.

She walked past me and sat down on the bench beside me

"Well, he has apologized and he has assured me that he won't make the same mistake again and that I am and will always behis only wife and future Queen" she said dreamily to me.

I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her. I suddenly thought of something then turned to her

"What if she uses her power to get to him, she is of a noble background remember and everyone already thinks that she is his wife and Onyx's mother "

" Don't worry, it's just a matter of time before he makes me his queen. He still has a lot of things to get in order and moreover I'm his legal wife" she said full of confidence.

I agreed with her and we headed back to the palace before night falls.

While we were heading back, we suddenly got ambushed by a bunch of men and we were forcefully taken away by them.

Marie and i tried to use our powers but unfortunately it didn't work.

The more we struggled the more weak we felt, I couldn't even cast a spell because there was an invisible force that kept my mouth shut.

I felt really helpless and I knew Marie was feeling the same . I looked at her and saw her shielding her belly from any danger. With the only strength she could muster, she gently cast

a protection spell and blacked out.

I tried to struggle after seeing her pass out but there was nothing I could do but watch.

After what felt like years we arrived at our supposed destination and we were locked in an empty dark room.

Marie and I hugged each other out of fear, we tried everything we could but it felt like a barrier was obstructing our power. Marie started shivering in fear and I tried to calm her down but nothing worked. She kept calling for Damien, I could only watch her and pray for her safety.

We have been in this dark room for days with only on meal of bread and water to keep us alive. Marie had already grown thinner than she was before and I was constantly worried about her. She refused to say anything .

I was about to talk to her when the door to the room was suddenly opened and two burly men and a woman with a dark aura entered.
