Marie

"Who the hell are you and why did you kidnap us" I roared in anger.

Instead of getting a reply the woman gave me a sinister look and laughed, not in a normal way but in a way a psychopath would.

She stopped laughing and looked at Marie

"I really have no problem with you woman but the seed in you must go" she said and sat down. Marie's face instantly turned ashen with fear, she instinctively grabbed her stomach in fear. With a shaky voice I said

"Why would you try to kill a child that hasn't even been born yet.… you are a woman also, how can you be so cruel"

She slowly walked towards me, each of her steps heavy on the ground. She stood in front of me a slapped me across my face.

I could feel my face sting with pain and I could also hear Marie crying beside me.

"Don't cry Marie, we both know why this child must go. We can't let anyone hinder our master breakthrough this time around" she said while circling Marie.

I couldn't help but think about who the hell this master was and how an unborn child would hinder him but all I knew was that Marie and I had to get out of here.

She walked closer to Marie and started inspecting her closely

"Such a beautiful girl bound to be killed in my ugly hands" she said while sighing like she was conflicted. Marie's eyes shot open in shock and she started struggling to get free from the chains holding her.

"You can't do anything to me, my husband will find me and he will save us" she said in desperation. Her words was followed by heavy laughter , the woman laughed so hard that she fell on her butt. While she was laughing, I felt a wave of spiritual energy and i harnessed it slowly and inconspicuously.

I was able to harness a lot of energy to control the wind( which is the element I could control).

I slowly cast a spell underneath my breath and let the wind do it's work. While I was accumulating magical energy the woman started speaking to Marie.

"Well I don't think your husband is coming for you because he's busy getting married to Lady Beatrix"

I could feel the whole world in a standstill for a moment before Marie burst out shouting 

"It's a lie, Damien will never lie to me" she said with tears running down her face.

At that moment , I was able to gather enough magical energy and I burst out of the chain and quickly set Marie free. Before any one could react, I grabbed Marie and I teleported us away from there.

We appeared at the secret base Marie and I usually go when we want to have girls time, nobody except the both of us knows about this place.

I could see that Marie was visibly shaken by whet she heard and I just consoled her.

"Please can you confirm the validity of the information that woman told us" Marie asked. 

I nodded silently and told her to rest while I went back to the palace.

I gathered strength and teleported back to the palace to see Beatrix and king Damien being crowned king and queen. I knew this was going to happen but I couldn't break Marie's heart by telling her that. Before I left I noticed the obvious bulging stomach of Beatrix indicating that she is heavily pregnant. I took one last look at them and teleported back to the shack.

Marie was peaceful sleeping and I couldn't help the tears that came out of my eye seeing that she was about to be broken by the news

........ A Few Months Later......

Marie had given birth to a lovely daughter and she called her Ondina. She named her daughter after our ancestor because she said she saw a vision telling her to do so.

For a few months we took care of Ondina in our little home and brought her up with love and respect.

But as a child, Ondina was already able to wield great magical strength even without knowing any spells and learning how to control the various elements.

One fateful day, I summoned the courage and asked Marie about Ondina unusual magical strength . She smiled at me and was about to tell me when we heard a commotion near our house.

Marie used her powers to sense who it was and realized that it was heavily armed men coming towards our house. She told me that it was time to go and started chanting a weird spell and slowly the light coming off Ondina's body became dim and I couldn't sense any magical aura in her again. 

"We have to go" Marie said leading we out of the room . She grabbed Ondina and gave her to me. She chanted yet another spell and the trees near our home instantly gave way and a pathway was opened.

We went through the pathway and it closed up behind us leaving no trail for them to follow.

We got to end of the path and we rejoiced thinking we have escaped when she suddenly got shot from the back. 

I tried to scream but I couldn't, I saw Marie chanting a spell around us to protect us from the people. Before she could finish the spell they shot her again and pushed her down forcefully and reached for me but before he could get to me I was able to teleport a few meters away from them because I didn't have enough strength to go further.

They reached me fast enough and grabbed the baby from me. In desperation, I saw Marie casting a final spell to send the baby away but the spell wasn't complete and she passed out.

One of the guard brought out a green gem and pressed it on Marie's chest draining her of the remaining magic left in her body. 

I knew I was bound for the same fate as Marie but before they could get to me, I felt someone grab me and lift me off the ground.

It was Damien most trusted advisor David.

He was flying which shocked me because people who could control air magic have been wiped out.

 By the time we landed, I remembered that I had left Ondina there with those men and fear started to creep into my heart.

"Don't worry the baby would be fine, I'll take care of her" he said before he turned around and left.
