Chapter 56 part 2
The city of Tenkyou was in a state of anarchy as the port was under attack by the Orochi.
It was being held back by the efforts of Sato and Seraphina who were fighting hard but they also needed to do their best to at least keep it from doing more damage to it.
Seraphina was getting some good hits in with her Vermillion Blade but the monster had an impressive healing factor.
While Sato was busy doing his best to teleport some of the attacks it fired to the city or either of them straight back to itself which was actually getting results and it seemed to heal slower to injuries done by it's own attacks so at least there had some leverage though it wasn't enough.
The other sectors of the city weren't fairing any better as there was an ongoing battle of Oni-Dragon guild members and the Imperial knights.
Ritsu had contacted the base earlier and warned them about the stations and their plan to cause chaos so they quickly organized themselves and attacked the bases. Even though they found out that they didn't go down without a fight and so fought back against the soldiers even though it was a losing battle.
Ritsu, Akira and Kazuki arrived in the city to assist in the battle while Tekashi was sent to get proper rest and healing despite his protests. They had split up to different areas where the Oni-Dragons were placed to assist the soldiers.
Back at the island
Morrigan popped from one the shadows in the temple walls and scooped it a little looking for potential enemies or traps but found nothing.
The room had some luxurious paintings, expensive looking, three statues of armoured very old Tayio amour with spears and in the middle of the room was a big statue of a 13 foot samurai with red jewels in eyes.
"Oh my~." Morrigan looked around and the cat whistled as she looked around the room as she came out of the shadow and landed on the ground. "I wonder how much these would be worth~. Hmm some of them will look really good as decorations in a house~."
As she was distracted with the decor seven monsters clawed out of their hiding spots and lunged at her but sharp tendrils came from her back and sliced them all into pieces.
"Well that was a bit underwhelming. I thought they would use stronger yokai spirits to guard all this." She scratched her chin while inspecting them. She then dodged an arrow narrowly missing her head which did for a couple more shots at her.
And three of the statues sprung to life and lunged at her aiming their spears at her which she blocked with her tendrils and wrapped them all up tightly.
"Hm cursed?" She tilted her head at them as she sensed dark magic at play there. "OOF! What the hell!" Ten arrows pierced her back and she performed a 180 degree with her neck and inspected her ruined jacket with pout on her face as the arrows came out and the injuries healed.
"Do you know just how much this cost!" She looked out and saw seven archer statues which fired more arrows.
Her tendrils sliced through all the previous statues and dodged all the incredibly fast moving arrows. She had to give it to them them they had good aim as she was forced to block some of them especially when she sensed magic in them.
She was about to launch a quick counter attack after she got to read their switching patterns but she hardened her arms and blocked a sword strike from the giant samurai statue crackling the ground beneath them while her tendrils were busy with the arrow blocking.
"Oh.~" She smirked while looking at the ruby glowing eye. "Those would make some nice rings~ Maybe I'll make some for Salem too." She quickly decreased her temperature to a point that part of the blade was frozen and she broke it off.
In a blink of an eye she was high up in the air and her arms split into long tendrils piercing through all the archer statues when they immediately got to their next positions and black burst out while they were in them.
"Easy~." She turned her arms into blades and rocketed down the floor and swiftly sliced of it's arms then followed up by slicing it's head with her right blade arm.
After she did that she spotted red glowing eyes a bit in the dark corner of the room.
This was the devil's eye.
"Now." She whispered with a smirk as her eyes glowed golden the moment she saw they finally made eye contact. She was basically controlling the dragon and the mighty tree and so wasn't going to be at her best combat wise especially with the woman in front of her.
But her smirk dropped when she noticed her petrifying spell was not working. "WHAT HO-!" She didn't finish her sentence.
In surprise she failed to notice Morrigan speed in front of her and used her arm blade sliced through Devil eye's legs and kicked her a heavy kick to the head sending her crushing through four wooden pillars.
"N-No i-it c-can n-not be..." She mumbled in pain. Her cloak was full of revealing multiple eye on her body." J-just w-what a-are y-you?" Devil Eye crawled away from her dismembered legs making a trail of blood in the process.
'ARHG!! I really hate doing this.' Morrigan thought as she basically used her Anatomy magic to make herself blind to avoid the petrifying attack and took a page out of Salem's book by using her heightened sense of hearing and sensory abilities.
"Now then I'll be taking this sweety~." Morrigan sang as she grew claws and dug into her abdomen in the eye socket in her abdomen which contained the philosopher's stone making Devil Eye scream in agony as red lightning evaporated from it engulfing the whole room as Morrigan pulled it out.
Devil Eye then in a last ditch effort put a lot of power in giving her final orders to the Orochi to leading to her using all the available power for the stone.
"For the clan." She thought as her arms fell limp to the ground as she took her final breath of life and Morrigan final fully pulled it out.
"Well at least it's not shattered." She formed a bitter smile while looking at the red orb which dulled in color then turned to the little piece of technology which was seemingly spying on her and she just shot it with a sharp hardened piece of her flesh shot from her arm destroying it.
"Wonder if this belongs to that scientist but I don't sense him here though." She scratched her head inspecting the camera.
Suddenly there was a loud boom of thunder and the island shook violently.
"Looks like Harumi's really having fun up there. But now for more important business~."
With Salem and Kagura
Deep within the forest the tree known as the Jubokko, responsible for the island's metamorphosis, stands at 75 meters tall. Its skeletal branches clawing at the sky, blood red leaves, Its bark was dark and cracked, oozing thick, blood-red sap that dripped like slow tears and hollow knots dotted its trunk, resembling gaping mouths frozen in silent leaves.
And in front of it just a few feet away was the crimson typhoon dressed in a black and red battle kimono sitting in a meditative stance ignoring the booming lightning.
"His posture." Kagura narrowed her eyes at the swordsman. "The way he sits reminds me of my former master. Even though he appears to just be sitting there he is actually very aware of the surroundings."
"HM so I guess sneaking him is out of question. How about blindsiding him l? One of us will draw his attention while the other will deal a fatal blow while he is busy dealing with the other" He suggested than flinching a little the booming storm clouds above which seemed to get more chaotic.
"I think it would be best if we attack him together, especially since we don't know his magic. I know you're strong enough to hold your own and have likely gotten more powerful this month but I'm not good at stealth and I don't think I will be strong enough to hold him off alone." Kagura got brief flashbacks from her battle with Kage.
That took Salem by surprise a little bit since she really wasn't the one to discredit her skills like that.
Not really knowing the best way to handle this situation so he grew his owl wing then gently and hesitantly wrapped it around her. He wasn't sure if this would do it as wasn't really the best at comforting people that much. His best was his sister, Jasmine and a friend in his neighbourhood who was going through a more harsher version to his secondary school experience.
But likely it seemed to have worked as Kagura didn't flinch away and snuggled into his wing a little bit, sighing in relief.
"It's okay if you're feeling a bit scared. I mean the demon king's power is still making my skin crawl so how about this you protect me and I'll protect you deal." He smiled gently at her
"It's a deal." She smiled back with a cute blush on her pretty face.
As the two were having their little moment they were interrupted by a red diagonal slashing attack leading the both of them to jump out of the tree.
In the blink of an eye Arashi in the air with them swinging his blade towards Kagura's neck about to cut her neck off which she barely managed to block with Archenemy but the force behind the swing sent her crushing to the ground.
Arashi just appeared a few meters away with incredible speed sizing them up.
"What sort of an insult is this? They sent two children to face me." Arashi snarled at them, his voice being a mixture of a deep male voice and an echoic demonic voice.
"It would be wise not to underestimate us." Kagura got into a wind-cutter stance catching Arashi's attention so he began analyzing her form.
While she had good form when he looked into her eyes he saw deep pain and anger in them but she lacked the true killer instinct. Though her blade interested him a bit as his mask pulsed a little as a little reaction towards it, so maybe it was a demon blade though it didn't matter.
He turned to Salem who was not in any stance but the boy looked like he was trying to pick him up apart but unlike the girl he looked like he had at least had little blood on his hands.
"Well then prove me wrong young warriors so let's not waste any time with any senseless chatter and commence our battle."
In lightning speeds Arashi unsheathed his blade in maneuver the two young mages were very familiar with so they jumped upwards barely getting out of the way of the quick-draw attack which cut down several trees around them.
While in the air Salem quickly shot multiple large ice shards from his now Glacier wolf claws to Arashi who jumped back dodging and blocking all of them.
Kagura with her increased speed sneaked up behind him while he was busy with Salem's ice shards and was about to land a nasty slash with her unsheathed sword but Arashi quickly dodged the attack.
The two than engaged in an incredibly fast sword exchange. Sparks flew from their exchange Kagura was doing her all to put pressure on Arashi trying to break his guard or at least find an opening but he easily blocked and parried her attacks looked like he was barely breaking a sweat. While he was doing this his noticed that the girl was purposely not going for lethal strikes which caused him to scowled in a little disappointment behind the mask.
He went on the offensive and she had good counters but he landed four minor cuts then broke her guard in the middle of their exchange much to surprise as she felt herself getting slower.
He was about to thrust his sword into her stomach but blocked kick by Salem aiming for the side of his head with left hand but found himself getting electrified leading to an open for Kagura zenith thrust abdomen though it didn't actually pierce his stomach it sent him back which Salem followed it up by large lightning blast and a long range slash from Kagura hitting him dead center making an explosion.
Arashi rushed out of the explosion with incredible speeds going for a slash straight for Kagura's neck which she was about to block but it turned out to be faint as he twisted his body and hit Salem's stomach with the hilt of his sword and kicked Kagura's face.
"Crimson Blade: Oni Crescent Moon." He quickly spun around slashing the two making a crimson slash hitting the two which the two blocked one with her sword the other with dragon scales.
Salem hissed as he looked at his bleeding Teostra claws and felt something off specifically with his magic as it felt like it was depleted slightly making him wary a bit.
But before he could think about it further he dodged a thrust aiming directly for his head. He barely sonic swayed the way of more swing while he moved further back with Arashi relentlessly following and let out explosive embers launched embers out of his Teostra scales. When Arashi intercepted them with his sword they all just exploded and kept on.
Arashi jumped back out of the smoke cloud with slight injures on him but the gravity around him increase heavily sending him kneeling to the floor and but he was quickly powering through the extra gravity and aura came rushing in with a brutal swing infusing her sword with gravity after since her opponent had tough skin.
Arashi had already adapted to the increase in gravity and dodged the attack but it slightly cut his chest with impressive footwork and quickly twisted his body giving her a hard kick to the ribs knocking her through a tree and slammed on the second one.
He went for a sword, a sword thrust going straight for the kill but were-cheetah Salem landed a strong kick with a Rathalos leg to his head and tried to pierce his skin to inject some toxins into his system.
The swordsman grabbed Salem's leg off his face and threw him hard towards a tree which he landed perfectly in a crouching position on the tree trunk. He dodged a slash from the swordsman which cut the whole tree down. Salem then began running from tree to tree with Arashi following close behind him cutting down every tree in his way like mad lumberjack.
"Enough of this cat and mouse game boy stand firm and fight!" Arashi then unleashed a huge crimson long range slash destroying everything in its path.
But Salem jumped into the air avoiding the attack though Arashi was hot on his tail as he jumped fast towards him ready to cut him in half but Salem transformed into a small sparrow avoiding the attacks frustrating the swordsman.
He switched to his full Rathalos form unleashing a strong fire blast from his mouth which was blocked by the red sword and Salem quickly stopped the attack and slammed his tail on the upside of Asashi's head sending him to the ground. The swordsman flipped to land on his two feet but was a strong wave knocking back several meters cutesy of Kagura's spell.
Arashi performed a handspring and launched multiple long range slashes which the two dodged but it was meant for him to gain some distance to break their rhythm and regain his footing.
The two dodged all the long range slashes but Kagura was having a harder time so she jumped and centered herself on Salem's back and using her magic made him faster making the dodging much easier than taking higher ground.
"Kagura you've noticed that this guys sword has some magic draining ability right?" He looked down at her.
"Sort off, when he landed his cuts on me I felt a little of like my magic drained slightly more than when I use my gravity magic to increase my speed."
"Not just that but it also takes power away form spells though not completely but it's still a problem though as I'm sure he's using it to power himself up in strength, speed, and durability while his victims get weaker. Though I do think it needs to actually make physical contact with someone to drain magic."
"That's going to be a problem. We have to avoid the sword and we can't use any significant long range attacks."
"I also think his sword needs to physically touch the spell in order to absorb it so spells which fall under concepts could counter him like when you increase or decrease the gravity of an area also I think he can't do it, we can still use indirect attack spells."
"Oh I see what you're getting."
Salem then went to his dinosaur form and the two fell to the ground then slammed his tail to the ground causing multiple rocks to rise from the ground with different moldings from round boulders and sharps.
"Gravity Blade: Sky!"
The gravity around them decreased causing Arashi to float in the air along with some cut trees and destroyed stones. She then began launching the rubble and trees at the suspended swordsmen.
"Crimson Blade: Gale Storm!" He began launching a barrage of crimson long range slashes cutting the debris but Salem hide in one of the large boulders with his ant form than jumped switching to hybrid form landing a heavy punch to Arashi cheek sending higher to the ground where Kagura who centered herself on a large piece of which she broke down.
With her increased speed she began hopping around him till become a purple blur getting faster. His eyes tried to follow her but ultimately decided to wait for the moment of her attack.
"Zenith Thrust!" She went for a stab to his chest which Arashi was ready for but it was feint as switched and delivered a strong momentum enhanced singularity palm to his chest.
'Brats got spunk!' Arashi grinned in utter excitement as he fell but quickly noticed Salem about to land another attack so he decided to change the trajectory of this attack.
"Crimson Blade: Oni's Hundred Fangs!" He made multiple jugged blades made out of pure Ethernano.
Kagura began to dodge and block the projectiles but some it was too much for her as some so she centered herself to him once more.
"Gravitation Barrier!" She casted a shield around them but this spell was a little new and not perfected and not very stable so the onslaught of attacks was about to break through quickly which noticed Salem went into his glacier wolf form and made ice shield around them.
The onslaught of projection blades continued on and sent the dome completely out of the range of the anti-gravity spell a little further into the forest. Not long after the spell seemly wore off so Arashi landed on the ground.
" 'Huff' Those children are stronger than I thought. But it's time to finish this." He wiped he took a tired breath and his blade in the sheath. "Crimson Blade:" He landed a direct cut on the two slicing them in half but quickly felt something off.
"What an illusion?" He looked in surprise than the ground beneath him formed a magic circle and blue flaming chains wrapped tightly around him. "BLAST IT'S LIKE THEY'RE SHACKLING MY VERY SOUL!"
"Like it Oni-san~." Salem's voice come through and it poof in blue fire revealing him in his kistune form. "Alright my dear please finish this fast I can't hold them for long~."
Kagura came in at full speed causing a sonic boom adding shooting star spell and wind-cutter style she manged to cut off Arashi's arm and Salem quickly grabbed with one of his tails and stored it in his requip space.
"ARGH!!" Arashi grunted as his arm separated from his body and was hit with a point.
"Seraphic Foxfire Flare!" Firing of a large blue-pink vortex and maximum power leaving a large scorch trail leading to the mountain ranges.
After that was done Kagura walked over to him and began inspecting his new transformation. "I see you've acquired a new form."
"Yep~ Yep~. Why do you like what you see hime~." Salem smirked saucily at her causing her face to redden a bit.
"Don't you think you over did it a bit with that last attack." Kagura cleared her throat composing herself and unsheathing her sword.
"Come now hime just trying to finish the battle and beside your pretty little head has no right to judge me since you cut his arm off~." He winked at her while using one of his tails to slightly tickle her nose causing her to slap it away with a slightly sheepish look on her face.
"Salem!" She put her hands on her hips trying to glare at him and so that this transformation affected his personality a lot more than the others. "Let's just go to him before he gets up." The two then ran to the were Arashi probably landed following the large trail of Salem's attack to the mountain range.
They found Arashi just laying on the ground covering in scorch marks but he was also seemed to have lost a some muscle mass making Salem raise his eyebrow analysis his body and quickly wrapped him up in his fire chains.
" 'Cough ' Haha 'Cough'." He let out a bloody laugh.
"And what are you laughing about." Kagura narrowed her eyes at him but he just continued to chuckle.
"Love I think it would be best if you cuff him before he pulls something." Salem pointed out.
"Um cuff him?" Kagura tilted her head in confusion.
"Yes you know the magic canceling handcuffs didn't you get some from Harumi or some of those talismans?" Kagura shook her head. " Oh hime you were supposed to be the responsible one between us~. Looks like these will do for now so just knock him out or kill him or something. It's really fighting the chains so it's getting hard to restrain him."
"I admit I was extremely wrong about the both of you." He opened his eyes and looked at Kagura. "But why didn't you deliver the killing blow while you had the opportunity?"
"I'm not some blood thirty heathen who just goes around murdering people like you." Kagura glared at him but he just let out a bloody laugh and Salem just wondered how the hell he was still conscious with a missing arm but most importantly why was Kgaura stopping to speak with him.
"Um hime knock him out please." But his plea was ignored as the two seemed to be in there own little world.
"Really because your eyes tell me otherwise. It reminds of the loved ones from my fallen opponents who sort me out of vengeance but like them they were cut down by my blade." At this point Kagura's anger and disgust was starting to rise not just at him but memories of the possessed flooded her mind taunting her with an image of Jellal entering her mind.
"How could you take people's lives so easily. Didn't it ever occur to you about the families your destroying through your actions!?" Her emotions were getting the better of her.
"Once you draw your blade in battle you should be ready for the consequence which come to it including death if your not aware of than your not worthy to practice in it little girl."
" 'Yip' you got a real love for the game." commented Salem.
"You can say I've felt the rush and love for combat ever since I drew a blade to kill a bandit when I was a boy. The increased beating of my heart, the adrenaline, the rush was amazing and something I'll never want to stop experiencing!" He exploded on a crimson aura knocking the two back and getting out of the flame chains with a new appearance.
He was a lot taller around 9 feet now, the horns of his mask had grown, he grow a translucent arm made of pure ethernano and as well at two others with each of them holding long katanas of pure ethernano, black marks appeared over his body like a tattoo.
The three began speeding around the mountain range with the impact of there attacks causing minor shock waves and small craters all around the area. The two were having trouble countering his extra arms and blades.
Using her gravity magic Kagura had made herself and Salem a lot lighter to keep up with Arashi's incredible speed. As they clashed Salem sneakily turned the floor to ice causing him to lose balance a little bit giving Kagura a chance to land an attack on him but just broke off his horn followed by Salem to follow with a lightning blast which he blocked but was send back.
The two rushed at him again but he blocked and countered there attacks knocking Kagura away almost slicing Salem in half causing a cut to his abdomen than landed a heavy punch to his stomach.
"ARCK!" The shape-shifter grunted in pain than turned his mouth his snake's and shot venom directly into his foes eyes as a distraction and turned his arm to Zerora instead of the Zingore landing a powerful plasma fist cracking the mask.
Kagura ran towards Arashi with her sword flying towards her. After it landed on her arms she performed a wind-cutter technique diagonally slashing his body leaving a cut and breaking of a horn.
"ARGH!!" He made four large long range slashes separating the two as they jumped back in different directions.
He quickly went after Kagura landing a heavy kick to her stomach followed by a downward slash which she barely blocked but her blade was knocked out of her hand and sent rolling on the ground. One of his swords came down, almost cutting her in half but a snake tail wrapped around his waist throwing him high in the air.
"EXPLODINNG FIRE DRAGON'S BOMB!" He threw the large fire ball from his Teostra arms which exploded before Arashi could cut it in half.
In the explosion multiple projected blades flew at them causing Salem to go into his were-cheetah form to dodge but a good number managed to hit him while Kagura made her gravity barrier around herself.
'He's really going all out but for how long though.' He thought as he dived into the ground courtesy of his hare form.
"Crimson Blade: Guillotine!"
Arashi rushed towards her and brought his ethernano blades onto her shield making a large curve on the ground and easily disrupted it.
He sensed something in the ground and jump out of the way but a giant water serpent burst out the ground engulfing trapping Arashi in it's mouth then forming into a water dome above drowning him and before he could escape it was engulfed in lightning literally shocking him.
"I've had enough of your tricks!" Arashi burst out of the dome and fully glared at Salem who just flipped the bird at him while sticking out his tongue.
Arashi looked at the two more specifically at Salem. While Kagura was a formidable foe with her swordsmanship and gravity magic, in the end she was more of a straight forward fighter. Salem on the under hand was more unorthodox especially his constantly switching forms all with unique attributes and to make it worse he was sure he had more in his sleeve.
'Dammit this children are really exerting me.' He formed a grin. He despite going through close battle were he was on the verge of losing and death multiple times these two have managed to make his heart race in a particularly special way.
He hadn't felt like this back in the day when he was young, small and weak. His condition had held him back from even going outside the house.
But one day bandits broke into there home killing his parents and for the first time he felt a huge rush with his heart racing and adrenaline rushing causing his body to move on his own than took his father's sword killing the first one in a surprise strike than discovered his ability to steel magical energy from others also giving him the necessary power to kill remaining two.
"I'm a very lucky man to have met the both of you." He stated which took the two off guard. "But now it's time to finish this!" He began to expand more on his magic to increase his power and formed about twenty projection blades manifested but this time they where a bit larger, more rough and they felt more powerful than the others.
The blades shot at them and they began to dodge but this time the swords began to follow them like heat seeking missiles.
Salem focused more on avoiding the blades as much as he could as something about them felt more off than there appearance and honing skills. But looking closer he saw there seemed to be a thread attached to them.
While Kagura was dodging and blocking their speedy attacks though she was used to techniques like this thanks to Hell-zone.
When they failed to hit her they managed to maneuver in a way where the threads which she didn't notice managed to tie her up spreading her body leaving hanging vulnerable in the air.
"Dammit!" cursed Kagura as she was stuck in the thread and she struggled to break out and Arashi hovered several meters above her.
"Like it I picked that thread technique up on some shinobi I've fought seven years ago."
"Crimson blade ultimate art: Gokuga Mujin!" He chanted in Taiyo's ancestral language and he raised all of his swords and they all merged into the one held by his remaining biological arm making a huge rigid blade which quickly threw at her.
Kagura's eyes widened as the attack got closer and closer, seemingly in slow motion as her eyes began to flash in her eyes.
'No I can't die here!' She tried to do something but her body seemed to paralyzed in fear.
Salem then appeared in front of the attack and caught the attack with his own two hands making him grit in pain.
"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING IDIOT!" She yelled.
"O-Obviously saving you sweety~." He cheekily stuck his tongue out and winked at her though it was obvious he was struggling to hold back the attack so he used his tails to cut the threads and used them to throw her hard and far away from the range.
Arashi put a lot more power into the attack and two of his extra arms disappeared and yelled while pushing the attack further.
Salem couldn't hold the attack anymore and it fully consumed him. The attack destroyed the whole mountain range and sending quarter of the island into the waters.
Kagura put her gravitation shield around herself while she was blown way.
"SALEM!!" Kagura yelled in utter despair as she witnessed the good chunk of the island crumble to the waters below.
"No! Please no!" She whispered as she tried to run to the edge to jump down after him praying to find his body still intact but was roughly grabbed by one of Arashi's remaining arms and roughly thrown to the side.
His appearance once again changed as he was smaller, lost a lot of muscle mass, his lower pair of arms were gone and only had one conjured blade left but it was thinner.
"Don't bother wasting your time girl, your partner is dead. But you have my condolences, he was an amazing fighter."
"T-This c-can't b-be h-happening." She barely got the words out of her mouth and her breaths were getting heavy.
"Y-YOU!" Kagura's body began shaking badly with her hair covering her eyes and her magic began to rise. "I'M GOING TO MAKE YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE!!" Her magical power exploded.
Before he could even notice the girl was in-front of her with her attack in motion causing him to barely dodge but it cleaved his remaining biological arm.
Kagura didn't stop her attack as she continued on jumping up and aiming to cut him in half with her extra weighted blade leading to block with his remaining arm and huge dent in was caused which continued to get wider and deeper.
'Very nice.' Grinned Arashi as the girl had nothing but murder in her eyes.
The two clashed swords yet again and even though Arashi only had one arm and was much slower than the swords-women he kept up due to raw skill and her attacks being faster and having a lot more power behind them where a lot wilder and predictable.
So when she went for another strong swing breaking the ground he got out of the way and stabbed his remaining blade into her side and kicked her to the ground.
Arashi breathed out as he looked down at the staggering girl and held her bleeding wound but still glared up at him.
"You fought well girl bu-.."
But a huge katana literally came out of the shadows and pierced his body slicing through his heart.
"W-WHAT!!" He looked down in surprise and he saw a creature made out of darkness, smoke like gray hair defying gravity flowing upwards covered the left side of its face and revealing a cyan colored eye, came out the shadows holding the handle of the sword. "J-Just w-what a-are y-you?"
The darkness around the creature seemingly blew away revealing Salem glaring down at him.
"I-IMPOSSIBLE H-HOW A...!" He didn't finish his sentence as his head was cut off his body courtesy of Kagura using her gravity magic to control her sword.
"Yesu Kristo." Salem mumbled in a bit surprise at Kagura's sudden action but quickly caught her before she hit the ground.
She was bleeding badly and Salem's mind was racing not knowing what to do in this situation he never attended anyone's wounds before. Sure mages heal faster and can tank more than ordinary people this was still a serious injury.
"Please bare with me okay." He spoke softly and she just nodded her head.
He clotted and sealed the wound with ice magic making her grit in pain. It wasn't the best way to take care of a wound but it was all he had for now.
He heard her breathing heavily and sobbing softly. "H-Hey it's okay Kagura it's over now it's alright." He spoke softly and the girl raised her head revealing her expression.
"Y-YOU FOOL YOU I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD!!" She yelled as cried into his chest and weakly punched it.
"I know I'm sorry for worrying you and take it easy will you. I didn't exactly use the best process to cover up your wounds. " Three fluffy fox tails wrapped around her to calm her down a bit.
With that the girl began to break down on how she let her emotions get the better of her leading to her actually killing someone, her scar of almost losing Salem, and even her own weakness during the whole battle.
Salem let her get their feelings out while looking at the stormy sky which got worse indicating the battle between Harumi and Ryuzen was getting more intense but he felt something else, a very familiar presence though he couldn't put his finger on one the other not so much.
Morrigan was also hovering close by just watching the two letting them have the little moment but like Salem she felt something other than Harumi and Ryuzen zipping around up there.
"A god descend here?"

Yo guys sorry I'm late (again) in delivering this chapter. As you can see I broke my promise and went too far again which I apologise for. But this arc only has two chapters to go and they won't be long fights.
