Interview with my saviour.

A

After saving me, the young woman (at least I think she's around my age and female) was about to disappear into the forest again but I got a hold of her arm. After glaring at me like she was deciding whether to ask me to unhand her or just thrust her sword (?) into my throat, she decided to do the former.

"Only under two conditions' ', I said. She let out a "tsk" and asked me to "name them".

My first condition was that she would allow me to follow her to the next town, village or whatever gathering of civilization she was heading towards. After some arguing she agreed.

The second was that she would allow me to interview her. I explained to her my whole stick with magic book and everything, but she didn't care.

"Either you unhand me now and follow me to 'Bluestone' or I'm twisting your hand and am gone before you realize you are kissing the ground."

So I had to comply there, but after a few hours of walking through the forest with me using my endless amounts of charm I softened her up enough to accept the Interview as long as I "stop[ed] talking about farm work."

Lesson of the day, besides staying away from bears, if someone doesn't want to talk to you, just talk to them until they do.

Apparently her name is Skarra.

Sk: Skarra, the darkling. N: Nothol

N: Thanks for complying with the interview.

Sk: Whatever, just hurry up. I don't want to stand her all week.

N: But we are walking...

Sk: You are walking. From my perspective we are practically standing still.

N: Okay. So, where do you come from?

Sk: None of your business.

N: Aha, interesting... and where are you heading?

Sk: Hallow's Pond.

N: What do you want there?

Sk: None of your business.

N: Have you ever attended an interview? Can't you say a little bit more?

Sk: Have you ever had a sword in your crotch? Can't you cry a little bit less?

N: Come one, we don't have anything else to do...

Sk: You won't stop otherwise, will you?

N: No.

Sk: Fine. I'm looking for someone.

N: For?

Sk: You don't know her. She's a historian.

N: For tension's sake I hope that at least two different guilds are hunting her.

Sk: History is exciting!

N: Even historians argue about that.

Sky laughs: Pff.

N: Fine, whatever. New topic. Where did you learn to fight like this?

Sk: Whether you believe it or not, from said historian.

N: For real?

Sk: Not so boring anymore, is she?

N: Indeed.
