Chapter 159- Deity and Dao realms

Chapter 159

"Oh…alright. Don't mind my inquisitiveness but can I ask another question?" Long Feng didn't notice the change in Bo Chun's tone or he chose to ignore it as he asked again with a smile.

Bo Chun's expression became colourful. But he couldn't slap a smiling face, not to mention he was the one to approach for a conversation first so he could only calm down.

"Go on."

"What are the realms above the imperial realm?" This question has been bothering Long Feng for a very long time now. His will to reach the peak of the martial path was nothing but a joke when he didn't even know what realm was before him and how strong his future competitors and opponents were.

Bo Chun sighed. "This is something even ordinary mortals should know. Well, it seems that you come from a particularly useless trash continent."

"Hey, watch what you say. There are many Juniors in my continent who can easily send you packing back to wherever it is you came from!" Hua Liuli who had been silent for a while finally blew up.

Bo Chun glanced at her and disdained to reply back. He turned back to long Feng and replied to his question,

"The five energy tampering realms are the beginning of the martial path. Above them are the deity realm and the Dao realm. I am not sure of the following realms after that, but let me answer your previous question." He paused with a derisive look on his face, "The core disciples of a fifth grade force and fourth grade force are all at the imperial realm while third and second grade Force's core disciples are at the deity realm. You can not even start to imagine the great power of those geniuses of second grade sects. As for the four dynasties, their princes are capable of singlehandedly wiping out third grade sects. A country bumpkin like you don't even know how horrifying a third grade sect is." His voice was dripping with derision and disdained as he spoke, only to notice that Long Feng's attention wasn't even on him. His face instantly turned sour and he snorted.

Long Feng was currently deep in thought about the two realms he heard from Bo chun and he didn't even pay attention to his disdain.

Deity realm… The profound martial deity..., Was he also in this realm, or did he later surpass it?

The Dao realm… how powerful are those figures

I really can't wait to step into the four regions and see for myself the martial legacies and heritage there.

Suddenly, a deep roar sounded some distance in front of the team and everyone paused. Bo Chun frowned before finally remaining silent.

"Shadow tigers… a herd of them. Two leaders at the spirit level equal to rank one spirit level cultivation. I can handle them. You all deal with the rest while we retreat." The young lady surnamed Lan instantly saw the situation in front with a sweep of her perception and quickly warned the others.

"A herd of shadow tigers. They are very fast and have strong attacks." Long Feng searched his memory for information on the shadow tiger race as he quickly circulated his inner energy and took out the origin spirit sword.

Three breaths later, the trees in front of the team rustled and dozens of tiger like creatures jumped out. They had pale white fur and weird stripes over their skin. Their sharp fangs glinted as they gazed at these humans who invaded their territory with ferocious eyes.

The yin ghost forest was the home of the Yin ghosts, but in truth, the beasts that lived in the forest far outnumbered the Yin ghosts. They occupied two third of the forest's land mass and could be found even in the very center of the forest. Although the yin ghosts ruled over the forest, the wild beasts also couldn't be underestimated. Firstly, the beasts weren't restricted by the great seal of the Yin ghost forest and therefore could leave whenever they wanted to. It wasn't surprising to run into beasts at the dao level and above. It could be said that the wild beasts of the yin ghost forest were as strong as a peak second grade force if they United!

Yin ghosts and wild beasts lived in relative Harmony and hardly fought against each other. The shadow tigers were one of the countless wild beasts who lived in the forest and this was their territory.

"This is only a small pack. We can leave" everyone took out their weapons and prepared to fight.

The shadow tigers growled and shot at the eight people with surprising speed. Although the strongest among this pack was only a peak yang level tiger, it was actually as fast as a random rank two spirit level master!

Each of the shadow tigers had outstanding speed and offense, with their only set back being their weak defense.

"Die!" Dazzling inner energy erupted and seven different attacks swept out and almost ten weaker tigers instantly fell.

It must be known that although this team consisted of only eight people, the weakest was actually Long Feng with his rank two yang level cultivation! Of course in terms of true combat power, he easily ranked in the middle of the team. Even hua Liuli was at the fifth yang level.

"Nine zenith strike!" Long Feng swung his sword and sword lights erupted wildly, instantly slaying four or five tigers and severely injuring four more.

"Thundercrest sword!" Bo Chun was surrounded by dazzling tiny steaks of lightning which gathered on his sword and swept out, clearing a dozen tigers. His sword lights were nimble and sharp and further observation showed that he had a rank three sword concept! And he obviously also had insight into the concept of thunder!

Dozens of petals flew about under Hua Liuli's delicate control, each one taking the life of a beast with it.

Different attacks were sent out as the team slowly retreated out of these tigers territory.

At least thirty shadow tigers had already been killed with no humans having fallen yet.

Bo Chun released a wave of lightning which slaughtered the beasts around him in a seemingly leisure manner. He even occasionally glanced at the rank seven yang level youth who was undoubtedly among the strongest after the lady surnamed Lan.

Then he glanced at long Feng and couldn't help but smile coldly.

"This brat, he uses a sword like it it a toy. Since when did a sword become such a joke, that anyone can simply pick it up and imagine himself a sword master? If a senior sword master was to see you using a sword so roughly, you wouldn't even know how you will die."

Anyone with the slightest insight into sword concept could see that Long Feng was simply playing with the sword in his hand, attacking without rhyme or control. To put in a sentence, his sword strikes were flashy on the outside but useless on the inside. This was because he had no understand in the concept of the sword which was a great drawback to his combat power.

Although he was strong, his rough use of the sword, his weak martial skills and background made him look like a jumping clown to Bo Chun.

Soon, the battle tilted in the group's favor and the beasts slowly retreated after the group had retreated from their territory. All this while, the two spirit level leaders of the shadow tigers didn't appear due to their wariness of the lady surnamed Lan.

"Let's rest and restore our energy" the lady said and sat down quietly underneath a tall tree to continue healing

Long Feng sat down and inhaled deeply while planning on how to leave this group. He had already left the Yin soldier's zone and it was currently time to go and search for Yan Jian and Li Yue'er. He could only hope that they were still safe.

"I observed brother Feng's fights and I noticed that you have no insight into the sword concept."

As he was thinking, a voice suddenly interrupted him and a shadow covered him. Looking up, Bo Chun stood in front of him while looking down at him condensingly.

"Yes. Does brother Chun has any advice for me?" Long Feng replied calmly without a change in expression.

"I wouldn't call it an advice. I just wanted to let you know that the sword is the emperor of weapons because of its complexity and your rough usage of it is an insult to it's prestige. If a senior of the sword path was here to see your pitiful use of the sword, he would have definitely swatted you to death on the spot." Bo Chun replied.

Long Feng nodded. "I am well aware of that. You don't have to worry about me". He was aware that whatever Bo Chun said was true but he was beginning to feel annoyed by this guy's pestering. He felt disdained to speak to him earlier but now, he was mocking him?.

Bo Chun nodded, "In view of our slight relation earlier, I don't want to see that happening, so I have two choices for you"

Long Feng couldn't help but lift his brow. This Bo Chun was thinking too much of himself.

"I'm listening"

"One, you stop using the sword and switch to another weapon."

"Not happening" Long Feng didn't even want to hear the other choice or he might really kick this guy away.

"Or I give you a manual of the foundational sword technique. If you can master it, it shouldn't be impossible for you to barely reach the first or second concept of the sword. Lucky for you, the foundational sword art is worthless to the sect so I can give it to you."
