Three was enough for a pattern. If she wasn’t already looking for him, she soon would be. He wondered how far he should go. Should he spell out the entire message?
“You are mine, Harlene. Either you will behave or, I will kill everyone you’ve ever met.”
He chuckled at the message. Sixteen mortal lives were a small price to pay for such a funny jape.
But he didn’t need to be locked into it. Once she knew what he was doing, she’d start looking for him. She’d find him - he wasn’t trying to hide. And then she’d surrender, and she’d take her punishment.
He had such plans for her. He was going to take his time. No mistakes, this time around. He was going to break her, well and truly. Break her as he had broken no one else before. He would break her and break her. And when she was nothing but a shattered pile of terror and obedience, he would break her some more.
