Matter of priorities

Meanwhile…

[Bring me Heaven Liu — I want her alive.]

Dragon's request replayed in Ram's head like a broken record. Dragon didn't explain why he wanted Heaven and why he wanted her alive. However, Ram was not interested. Dragon's reason could stretch into a variety of wicked reasoning.

It didn't matter.

What mattered was he wanted Heaven. No one else.

"What a troublesome deal," Ram muttered, turning his head to his side of the window in the backseat. "Truly a troublesome deal."

A deep sigh escaped him, pinching the bridge of his nose in distress. Although he didn't disclose what he knew about Heaven's situation, he knew Dragon had ideas that Ram knew the situations of his former comrades. It was the very reason Dragon unhesitatingly asked him to basically betray his former colleagues and bring Heaven to him.
