That morning, all the Jaeger pilots, including Li Yue, were assembled. Everyone was fully equipped in specially designed battle suits for piloting the Jaegers. The pitch-black suits gave them a solemn and spirited appearance. They stood in a row, backs straight, and heads held high, with determined expressions, waiting for their superiors to assign tasks.

Most of them already knew the operation's details, and they knew that it might be a one-way mission. But as soldiers and rigorously trained Jaeger pilots, they felt no fear. Dying on the battlefield fighting Kaiju would be an honour.

Li Yue stood in the middle of the formation, his mental energy scanning the faces of the pilots, many of whom were familiar and looked exactly like their counterparts in the movie. The others, curious about this mysterious pilot who never participated in group training, observed him with sidelong glances. They wondered what made him so special to be designated the core executor of this mission, even without participating in training.

However, their cursory observations revealed nothing unusual about Li Yue except for his unique aura. Even as everyone else was on high alert, he remained relaxed, as if he were going on a leisure trip rather than a life-and-death mission. This puzzled everyone—they couldn't tell if he was highly confident or unaware of the mission's dangers.

"I believe everyone here is well aware of what we are about to do today," General Pentecost began, breaking the silence with a gentle tone.

"Today, those standing here, whether male or female, will not fight alone!"

"Today, we face the Kaiju invading our home! We must fight back bravely!"

General Pentecost's voice grew louder and more persistent, filled with a firm conviction that was hard to resist.

"Today, we will send those damned Kaiju back to where they came from..."

"Today, we will end the apocalypse and usher in a new era!"

By now, his voice was resounding and inspiring. Everyone except Li Yue was stirred by the pre-battle speech, their blood boiling with determination.

"Dismissed! Go prepare for the operation! Li Yue, please stay behind," General Pentecost ordered after his rousing speech.

"Generals, is there something you need from me?" Li Yue asked curiously after everyone else had left, wondering why they wanted to speak with him alone.

"Don't worry, Mr. Li Yue. We just want to have a chat," Lin Zhen Guo responded warmly.

"We won't probe where you come from or why you are so powerful," he continued. We just want to know if you are on the side of humanity."

As he finished, his tone shifted to the utmost seriousness, and both generals stared at Li Yue, awaiting his response.

"Hehe, I'm as human as anyone else," Li Yue replied lightly, meeting their intense gazes without flinching.

"That's all we needed to hear," Lin Zhen Guo said, exhaling a sigh of relief. Although Li Yue responded indirectly, they could tell he was on humanity's side. With Li Yue's immense strength, they were confident that the plan would succeed, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Finally, they had no more worries.
