Prelims

It had been three days since we reached inside the tower of death and boy was it creepy. I looked around searching for the participants and started scoping out the competition.Team eight and a team of suna along with oto had already reached the tower and they looked preety beat up. One hour before the exams were due to end ,I saw team Seven entering the tower looking like they had gone through a grinder.

As soon as the exam ended, i saw the hokage standing above the battle grounds flanked by the jonin teachers. He started on his pre prepared speech about the chunin exams and will of every village. There was a cry of indignation all around which was stopped by a jonin named gekko and the proctor Anko. Due to high number of participants finishing the second round a prelim was supposed to be held which would start immediately.

We were instructed to move towards the balcony as the names would be called out soon. The first match was between sasuke and yuroi which was practically won by Sasuke by copying the taijutsu moves of Lee. Naruto went on to fight choji and it was a disgrace of a match as a shinobi making me

scoff rather loudly. I looked around and saw the konoha shinobis looking towards me ,i looked towards them and gave them a shrug.

The match between tenten and temari was pretty brutal as tenten landed on the suna shinobi 's fan breaking her back. The match between hinata and neji was a dramatic one with Naruto cheering for hinata and neji belittling her. All the shouting was getting on my nerves and i looked towards Naruto and said him to shut up, and stop disgracing the village further. He looked towards me and was ready to punch me but was stopped by Kakashi.

The next match was between me and kiba and it was giving me a headache already. I went down towards the arena where i could hear kiba boasting about himself and how he would beat a clanless shinobi. I looked at him and said him to forfeit so that he won't get hurt badly but instead he started to disrespect my parents. I looked towards him and started performing handsigns WATER RELEASE HIDEN MIST JUTSU. A thick mist enveloped the arena and he started shouting profanities and calling me a coward. I steeled my eyes and the next five minutes were pretty much hell. I would appear from a blind spot and give a cut and disappear. This went on for five minutes after which i dispelled the jutsu . On the ground was kiba with cuts all around his body ,hundred and six to be exact and he was screaming like a pig on a slaughter. I looked towards the proctor and he called the match . Winner : Shin. As i was moving towards the balcony i saw kurenai blocking my path. I looked at her and she was looking at me with a hard gaze. She started screaming about how we were shinobis of same village and i shouldn't have hurt him so much. I looked at her owlishly and then towards the hokage and asked who gave her the jonin rank. Everyone started snickering and she started turning red.I looked towards her and said " Pathetic '. She was about to slap me but i caught her wrist deftly and broke it, a clear snapping sound was heard . I turned around to leave when I felt a kunai coming towards me i caught it in mid air and turned around to see anko sprinting towards me. It was getting on my nerves now ,i released my limiter seals and the full brunt of my chakra and bijuu intent struck full force on her and kurenai . Five seconds,it was the time they lasted against it . I sealed my intent again and started moving towards my makeshift team. It was a troublesome day.
