Chapter 11:The Academy Entrance Examinations 1

**In an under cave in Mystic City the night before**

In the cave could be seen a beautiful lady wearing a cloak and on it's back could be seen the number 70 with a Tiger face staring at the rocks as if she could see through them.

Two shadows appeared before her and one of them said

"Everything is set for today" maiden 70 .

She smiled. She had been waiting for this moment,the moment to prove herself to the big shots at Tiger that she's ready to take on big tasks and challenges

"I want no mistakes. If there happens to be any mistake I will personally deal with you" 70 replied.

The two figures in front of her shuddered and nodded then vanished without a trace.

**Morning,next day Windward Villa**

As Alex walked out of the vila,he felt relieved cause he couldn't guage the strength of everyone in that villa including the maids.They were all at least Calamity level tier 1 mages and maybe some were swordsmen, assassins or formation masters but they were all strong.

Damn all this fucking nobles.I feel so puny amongst them Alex thought.

A car came to a halt in front of him and he went in.He was trying to pretend that he wasn't shocked.This was one of the latest versions of cars that run on solar elements based technology. One of it costs at least 500 million chronocoins.

He wondered whether he made the right choice or not.If he rejected the proposal he wouldn't have come out that villa without breaking a bone or too so he thought he chose the right decision.

He finally got to the avenue for the exam which is the biggest and best venue,the Windward Examination Stadium.The real people Alex knew were very dangerous were the nobles specifically the Windwards that will be participating. Alex hasn't been sitting idle all this time

The nobles taking the exams have been nourished with lots of soul energy pills and any other thing money to buy to improve their cultivation

Alex went to the room allocated to Mystic college to check in. He saw a lot of familiar year 3 students but he hasn't seen the young miss he was to protect yet. Mystic college final year college students weren't the only one taking the exams,there were other schools too private and public whose students are also participating. He went to the restroom to cultivate cause he was about to make a breakthrough he was certain he could feel it. It probably has something to do with my near death experience yesterday he thought.

On getting there he locked the door not that most people come here in the first place.Alex sat down cross legged, closed his eyes and took a look into his soul realm and his soul orb was already full. He had to guide the shadow energy out of his soul orb for it to reproduce the other two soul orbs required to get to intermediate mage level.

Alex was sweating cause he had to do all that without breaking the soul orb which was the real deal. He slowly directed the shadow energy outside the soul orb then he spread them out in the shape of an orb then he stabilized the energy in each of the three orbs. Alex thought it was too easy unknown to him,the combat he was involved in recently was not the reason why he had so much shadow energy to break through but his dark vein responding to a potential life threat. Just then a particular beautiful lady wearing a silver ring with a black clothing in which the number 70 was engraved on its back entered the restroom.

**Outside the stadium**

There was a long line of beautiful cars that came to a stop. Red carpets were put in front of each car that led into stadium till where they shall take their seats,it was the Windwards.

Edward on getting down sensed the auras around him just to confirm if everything was going smoothly and he could only sense familiar auras. The other Windwards alighted and the obvious top gun going ahead of the others was Edward Windward,the lord of the Windward House. Right behind him was his Son and wife Finn and Andriel followed by their children Julius, Nathan and Lydia Windward along with some other people from the Windward House

**Back in the restroom**

"Come out wherever you are", said number 70.

Alex's memory was still in a mess. "How did I get into this mess?" he thought. "I was just cultivating when I heard a beautiful voice say we are going to hijack the examination when it gets to the last stage,by then they will be at peace too relaxed. Next thing I know is that lightning rained down on me in the part of the restroom that I was. Now they want to kill me"

Number 70 was getting impatient. She didn't know who eavesdropped on them but she didn't care who he or she was. All she had to do was to kill him or her and not allow whosoever it is to tell anyone thereby ruining her plan

"You there" she called out

"Yes my Lord"replied a voice which Alex couldn't make out.

" I am initiating the plan cause the information might be leaked by now and I want you to take care of this nuisance here" commanded 70 .

"Your wish is my command"replied the strange voice

"Shard blast" The masked man said . Immediately thousands of tiny sharp pieces of ice formed and pierced through everything in the restroom

Alex was just an intermediate tier 1 mage so he couldn't dodge it but he had to prevent it from hitting his vitals so he used his intermediate skill shadow command and told his shadow to act as armour over all his vital organs but the next thing that happened surprised him. One of the ice shards broke through his defense and struck him right in his shoulder leaving a hole in his right should.

Alex found himself screaming in pain cause the real danger when facing an ice mage is the aftereffect of the ice element,it spreads cold to the part it hits so Alex couldn't feel his right shoulder and hands again talkless of using his hands. "Just what level is this guy?" He thought
