I Am Not Going Down Easy

LaRee sharply inhaled. He almost bit his lip as he accepted that piece of advice.

Still, LaRee was determined to attempt to fight with the handbows, at least once.

Pressing his thumb against his pinky, a small hook was revealed from under a strip of strong, grey fabric along the inner side of his pinky. Then, the tip of the black string on LaRee's thumb was hooked with a quick glance.

This was done for both hands, taking about one second each. Then, LaRee grabbed six arrows from his quiver before tossing the quiver atop Ayse's coat.

Four arrows were held in LaRee's mouth. The other two arrows were held in LaRee's free fingers. Both arrows were nocked onto their drawstrings, with three fingers guiding and holding each arrow.

"... Ready?" Ayse asked.

LaRee nodded.

"Ok. After you, Ree."

...… Th-thwang.
