Somewhere to Go and Something to Avoid

For the rest of that morning, LaRee was meditating, reflecting on the fast sparring match.

Meanwhile, Ayse hummed away amidst reading his self-teaching books. Until…

Beep! … Beep! … Beep!

Ayse ecstatically turned his attention to the radar. At the edge of the circular screen, a large, slowly-pulsating blip appeared.

"We found one!" Ayse shouted, clenching and pumping his fist.

His eyes moved to the basic screen with plain, digital letters or numbers with no images or pictures available. The display of ever-changing digits scanned through the recorded database of charted gateway frequencies. And, half a minute later, a final reading settled on the screen, displaying the planet's name and the exact, many-digit frequency.

"Oh. Ludok." Ayse lost a lot of his excitement as he sighed, "Not Storrborg…"

"What is it? Have we reached a new planet?" LaRee's excited voice rang out as he rushed to the wheelhouse door.
