I'm Sorry- SMACK!

"I'm sorry for scaring you…"

To LaRee's shock, the bestial figure raised a hand and lowered its head. With the dim light of the crescent moon overhead, LaRee could make out that the figure's hand was human in nature, totally different from the reptilian head.

"Please, lower your axe. I'm sorry, but there's no need to fight!" cried that brawny figure, standing over two meters tall. With aggressive, self-loathing, the humanoid's reptilian head stared back at the foreign man in leather moccasins.

And LaRee still had no idea what was being said. Also, the humanoid's voice was… unnatural, according to all of LaRee's senses.

Its voice was uniquely low. It sounded like the humanoid was speaking through a mouthful of gravel, and there was occasionally a humming hiss mixed in with its words or phonetics. All of that paired with the aggressive movement of the humanoid's head and hand were like warning signals to LaRee's tribal mind as a lifelong hunter.
