Don't Forget It

"Right now, I see that you're an enslaved person. A man, I presume?"

Baloo nodded… Unsure what to say or what to expect from Ayse's abnormal attitude.

So Ayse continued, "Well, Baloo, I'm sorry for kicking and slapping you around. Is there anything I can do to apologize for that?"

"N-no! There's no need for that!" Baloo replied in startlement. "I-I forgive you!"

"I'm glad to hear that. Then, what brings you out here in the middle of the night?" Ayse asked. "I doubt you live out here on your own, given the collar."

Nodding some more, Baloo slowly eased into the wading pool that was Ayse's unapologetic behavior. "That's right… I'm just working at the nearby mine. And it shook a while back. I'm guessing that was from your ship's landing?"

"Oh, shit! I'm sorry for that," Ayse blurted with a half bow. "I'm glad you weren't trapped inside."
