Taking the Trolley

Ayse munched on his final bites as LaRee stuffed his face with both honey oat cakes.

"What do you say we hop on that trolley the lady mentioned?" Ayse asked, pointing at the rails at the other end of the main square. "That way we get your chip in as soon as possible, and you get to see what a city is like."

"Mhmm," LaRee agreed with a grunt, mid-swallow.

"Then let's take this over there, before we miss the first trip of the morning," Ayse said.

As Ayse stepped away, he shared a final, friendly glance with the baker. Waving, Ayse claimed, "Sorry for scaring away your customers! We'll head out now!"

The baker could only stammer in response. He waved back and nodded but couldn't bring himself to say a word.
