During that moment of wait, Ayse glanced at Harold. "How long have you known Mr. Wolfe?"

"Me and Baah D. go way back," Harold chuckled. "I probably met him before y'all were born." 

"So the same goes for the Trough Shop brothers?" Ayse questioned. 

"Yeah. Why do you ask?" 

Ayse shrugged. "It doesn't matter to me. I'm just curious how big your commission will be on that axe and cleaning kit purchase. Hopefully, you get a good cut." 

"Toad's cut is ten percent on all his referrals," Mr. Wolfe replied while still hidden among the racks of clothes. "He only gets fifteen if the clientele he brings spends more than five hundred qil." 

"Hey?!" Harold cried in objection. 

But Baah D. stepped out with a few outfits, still talking, "I think that's his rate for most shops in the swamp."
