I'm Not a Pickpocket, I Promise!

"... That'll be five thousand, single entry." The security guard felt impressed by the youth's orderly conduct. "I've never seen you before. This your first time visiting a superior floor?"

Nodding, Ayse tapped his card against the TranTab in the guard's hand. "First time to Harihol. So I thought I might see the sights while I'm at it."

Once the transaction was complete, the guard stepped aside. "I recommend a three-day or a weekly pass in that case. Then you can come and go without paying each time you exit the elevator. Or just get a room up here, after you get yourself some new clothes."

Ayse gave the guard a light wave as he left. "I'll keep that in mind, sir."

Stepping into the corridor was surreal compared to the lower floors. Underfoot, the ground was made of marble with lights embedded inside the stone. The same was true for the walls. It was hard to find anything with a decent shadow in the street.
