You're Lucky to be Alive!

Aegri stared at the archer in silence.

*That… I guess that makes sense,* Aegri mentally pouted to herself.

When nothing new was said, LaRee took that as the chance to wrap up the story. "It was after beating the enemies that we fled the city and Little Loo joined the posse. We celebrated his joining with venison and whiskey. Then we left before the sun rose."

"... You did all of that in just three days?"

Nodding, LaRee answered. "Yes. That is what I said, Miss Aegri."

By that point, Aegri was trying to give her temples a deep tissue massage. "... And that's it? You fled… Then what?"

"A giant lobster attacked the ship."

"A void lobster?" That fact brought Aegri back to a more familiar territory of thought. "And you had trouble with it?"

hints of embarrassment leaked out of LaRee's head bow. "I am disgraced to admit, yes. I struggled with the lobster. My arrows were only cracking the shell, not penetrating."
