"Yes? What's the matter?"
To Aegri, those four words were nothing short of a ticking bomb going off prematurely.
To Ayse, on the other hand, it was just a regular conversation.
"Please, excuse this interruption, Mr. Holt," Ayse steadily replied, showing off a sly smirk. "I'm calling on behalf of your daughter. She wishes to speak with you immediately."
"Ayse, you can't–!"
Aegri abruptly slapped a hand over her own mouth. But it was already too late…
"Was that my daughter I just heard?" Mr. Holt asked with the same disinterested tone.
"Your name is Ayse, I presume? Tell me. For what reason have you called me in her stead?"
All smiles, Ayse dodged Aegri's swiping hand and continued the conversation.
"Yes, my name is Ayse, Mr. Holt. Feel free to consider me your daughter's new assistant of sorts. After all, I'm the head of the new private security detail now directly under her employ."
"Oh? Is that so?"
