Agree To Marry

"Whatever, who knows what you guys would ended up being later." Drake said and smirked.

"You're so dumb, I am leaving.asshole." Richard said and stood on his feet.

"So soon, it's well. Not like I am surprised with your sudden attitude, take care buddy and remember to invite me to your wedding." Drake said mockingly.

Richard Walked towards the door ignoring his crazy friend Drake.

"Hey Richie, I got a call from your ex girlfriend said she's back to the city." Drake said to Richard who was closed to the door and stopped as he looked back.

"So what? And didn't I told you to never mention her name around me and stop letting her reach you or call you, or maybe you like her." Richard said annoyingly.

"Oh come off that, I don't date girls like her she's just beautiful but a real bitch. Anyway I told her never to call my number again since that number she used to call me was just new number." Drake replied angrily, He hated the speech Richard blurted.

"Whatever." Richard said and exit the door as he hopped in the car that was opened by his bodyguard and drove out of Drake's mansion back to his mansion.

The car came to halt while he stepped out of the car and walked inside ignoring the maids greeting and bowing for his welcome.

He strode upstairs way to his room and entered, pulling off his coat and loosened the tie then unbuttoned his shirt as he undressed himself and walked to the bathroom as his personal maid had already set down his bath and mix his bath water while he took his bath then his mind went back to what his father told him.

"Hmm, what the heck this man is pushing me to huh?. well I'm always down for business only, and that matters to me, So I'll agree to this for the contract coming up as I was told to be a married man before I can signed the contract. damn, I just remembered this anyway" Richard thought while bathing.

"I'll just agree to get married for the sake of the contract." Richard said to himself as he worked out of the bathroom with the towel round his waist, but still mad and hate the idea of getting married but he has no choice.

He walked to his closet, Dried his hair and body before he changed to a simple casual wear and left his room down to the dining room, down the stairs.

His food was served while he ate quietly before heading back to his bedroom.

He picked up his phone and dialed his dad's phone number.

RICHARD

"📞 Father, I'll meet the girl you chose for me to marry when I'm back from my business trip" I said as father picked up.

"📞 Good. It is great you called to agree on that" father said happily as I could feel how happy he was on the phone.

"Bye, I'm busy right now, I just called you to tell you this, as you're always pushed me to do what I hated doing" I said coldly and angrily as I hung up before he could say anything else.

I dropped my phone on the bed and walked to his study room.

He sat on his butt and started working on the system for sometime while at the same time making some business calls.

LATER AT NIGHT

Ella was in their small dining table, serving hers and her mother's plate of food, while they settled down sitting as they were eating, the sound of the plate and spoons could be heard as they ate quietly.

They finished eating while she packed the plates to kitchen and do the dishes before wiping her hand and walked back to meet her mother.

"You should go to your room and rest for the night mum" Ella said to her mum as her mum finished taking her pills.

"Okay but aren't you too going to bed?." Her mum asked.

"I will mum, I'm waiting for Kate since she's sleeping over today" Ella replied to her mum helping her up.

"Okay, don't stay up too long" her mum said just then then they heard a knock from the door, while Ella walked to the door peeping out from the small hole at the door to see who was there, She opened the door as she saw it was her friend.

"Hey girlfriend" Kate said hugging Ella warmly.

"Just finished talking about you with mum" Ella said closing the door behind.

"Hi Mrs Sarah" Kate greeted with a warm smile as she walked to her and hugged her warmly.

"How're sweetheart." Ella's Mum said smiling as she hugged her back.

"I'm fine ma'am." Kate replied and disengaged from the hug.

"Goodnight sweethearts." Mrs Sarah said to Ella and Kate as she climbed up the wood stairs to her room.

"Goodnight mum." Ella and Kate said as they took the stairs to their room.

"Hey, have you eaten?" Ella asked Kate.

"Yeah I did." Kate replied.

While the both talked for some time before they finally set to bed for the night rest.

FOUR DAYS AFTER

ELLA

"I'm so sorry Ella, My boyfriend really not gonna help me out and I tried to borrow from my colleagues at work but all to no vail, in fact I broke up with him today." Kate said almost in tears.

"What!, why would you broke up with him because of this Kate ." I almost yelled as I wasn't expecting this would affect her relationship.

"It wasn't because of this, he had been acting up really strange over like a week now, but I came to know he's tired of my relationship with him, don't worry I'm fine, I'm just so sorry and concerned about how you'll get the money" Kate said sadly as she looked so concerned.

"Come on I'll just find another way so you don't need to feel bad or sorry about this. And I'm so sorry your relationship got affected by this because of me" I said sadly feeling so and sad at the same time.

"My relationship with that son of a bitch doesn't matter to me anymore. After all, he has another girl, he had been cheating on me before I came to realize that today. I'm concerned about tomorrow. your landlord, remember he said tomorrow's the last day, I just hope he wouldn't chase you out tomorrow" Kate said almost in tears.

"Don't worry, I'll just have to do what I didn't wanted to do" I said sadly as my mind drifted to the deal.

"What do you mean?." Kate said confused not getting what I mean as I never mentioned my visit to Mr Wilson mansion and his offer.

"Okay, I'm sorry i didn't mentioned this to you because I thought you would get the money to borrow me but since this doesn't works out so I will have to tell you" I said to Kate while I told her about my visits to Mr Wilson mansion and his offer.

"I think I'll have to agree to the deal" I said with tears.

"I know this is not what you wanted but I think it might be a good decision to take but if you really don't want this then you could just move in to my house with your mum for the main time" Kate said sadly and concerned.

"No Kate, I'll have to do this for the sake of mum, the bills and also her health to be taken care of" I said cleaning my tears.

I stood up on my feet as I walked to the bathroom and took my bath under the shower 🚿 and crying at the same time.

I finished bathing and walked to my small closet and put on something then I walked back to my room sitting next to Kate.

"I'll be leaving for the Wilson mansion" I said to Kate and brought out my phone and dialed Mr Wilson's number while I spoke to him coming to sign and agree for the marriage contract deal.

While speaking with him on the phone, he said someone would come to pick me at the bus-stop and hung up.

"So you mean you'll agree to this marriage?" Kate asked.

"Yes I will" I replied nodding while Kate hugged me while sobbing at each other's shoulders for some minutes then we let go of each other's shoulders.

"I'm sorry you have to go through this, I hope and pray the man you wanna marry would cherish you and loves you" Kate said sadly so I nodded and stood up with her while we left my room down to the small sitting room where mum was sitting lost in her thoughts.

"Mum, I'll be right back" I called out jolting her from her thoughts.

"Oh okay honey, please you guys should take care and be careful she said smiling.

"Okay mum" I said kissing her forehead before heading to the door with Kate while we left the house and walked through the street until we reach the bus-stop while we waited for some minutes before an expensive car stopped in front of us then a young guy came out of the car, He walked to us and greeted bowing respectively to me.

"Hello Miss, I was asked to pick you up ma'am" he said politely while I remembered he was the same guy that picked me up that day.

I nodded and signal Kate I was leaving, while she bade me good bye as I entered the car that was opened for me. I hopped in while the young guy in his black suit ignited the engine and drove off.

After the quite long drive then the car came to halt.

"Set the car to the airport, I'm flying back to New York" Richard said to hi PA Ken who just came to deliver a message to his boss at his lodge.

Richard had been here in Los Angeles California three days ago for a business purpose but his annoying father just called him that he'll be meeting the girl he set for him to be his wife today or tomorrow so he has to take his flight back to New York since he sorted the most important things out on here, and that's the meeting and some other important things to do.

Then he called his business partner here in Los Angeles California, that he has something urgent to take care of in his state.

"The driver is waiting outside sir" Ken said as he entered his boss lodge room after several knocks before entering with his boss permission to enter.

"Okay I'll meet you in the car, you can leave" Richard said taking his phone and coat on the bed while Ken bow before living his boss lodge as he was told.

Richard put on his suit coat and dressed his hair well and neat, then he picked his suitcase 🧳 and walked to the door and exit the lodge room.

"So you finally agree to marry my son hun?." Mr Wilson said.

"Yes sir" I replied forcing a smile.

"I'm so sorry I have to put you on a big condition like this. but I also thought you could help my son because I can see a hint of being a good well trained lady and will be a good wife to my son that never have time for woman and their is a contract that worth millions of dollar that held the condition of him to be a married man as their is rumors spread over the news about him being a gay and so on etc, which got me to chose you for him" Mr Wilson said and stopped talking taking a sip for his coffee ☕️ that's place on the table for him.

Then he continued, "I know you don't want this but you have no choice, but I assure you, my son is a good man." He said while he brought a files out from his office table drawer and opened it.

He stretched the white papers to me.

"Read thoroughly and sign the paper" he said while I nodded and signed the papers not reading and stretched the papers back to him.

He smiled collecting the paper. "You don't read that, do you?" He asked smiling.

"I don't need to, all written on the paper can't be more than the marriage and besides I have sign it since I got no choice.

"Okay. that's just it daughter in-law, My son went for a business trip but will be back today in the next 5 hours and I want you guys meet today, maybe you can go back home and once he's back a driver will be sent to pick you up." Mr Wilson said while I nodded and stood up to leave.

"Alright sir." I said bowing a little while he smiled sweetly.

I exit the door and walked through the stairs down to the living room and walked to the exit door and left the mansion.

as expected, a driver drove me back to my house.
