Division of Shares

Chen Lin stood in the middle of the living room, her arms tightly crossed as she paced back and forth. Her fingers drummed nervously against her arm, her mind racing.

She had an idea of what 'transferring the shares' could mean, but she refused to fully acknowledge it.

She had vowed to herself that Liu Yanmei would never gain anything after what she had done.

Yet here was her grandfather, handing over a part of the Chen Group to her on a silver platter.

Aunt Xi watched her from the side, recognizing the familiar signs of Chen Lin's unease. Letting out a soft sigh, she finally spoke. "Linlin, you know your grandfather loves you, don't you?"

Chen Lin paused mid-step and turned to face her. There was a brief flicker of defiance in her eyes, but it quickly faded. She nodded reluctantly. "Of course, I know that," she murmured.

"Then why are you so worked up?" Aunt Xi asked gently, her tone encouraging but firm.
