Therapy? No

The beautiful woman sat in a dark desolate room in silence sipping her tea. There wasn't a shred of impatience in her manners. No one could tell at the moment just a few hours ago she was distressed and worried for her son's life. Right, Jian Tang couldn't accept that her son was poisoned under the same roof.

"Madam, we caught both Mo Shirong and Song Ping in the XC bar. Should I bring them here." Ryan informed Jian Tang keeping his presence as low as possible fearing he would get on her nerves.

"Oh, what about the contractor and gardener that put the devil trumpet plant in the greenhouse, in the first place?" Her voice was as cold as her bright red eyes making anyone in front of her tremble.

"Master is investigating the matter himself. You can confirm it with secretary Tang if you deemed necessary." Ryan wasn't hesitant at the moment to use his master.

"Oh!" Jian Tang put the tea cup down and informed Ryan to send the boys in. Surprisingly, there seemed to be an unfamiliar face in the crowd.

"Madam Li." Mo Shirong and Song Ping greeted each other in unison. One was a fat strong boy who seemed older for his age while the other was a thin introverted type. But no matter how arrogant they acted outside or how they coerced Li Jie in secret. They were nothing but rebellious teenagers in front of Jian Tang.

Their antics didn't spark any emotion in Jian Tang, rather she directly looked past them. There was a soft, thin teenager trying to hide behind Mo Shirong's shadow.

"Sit down." Jian Tang instructed them to sit down. She didn't plan to sugar coat her words from the start. "Mo Shirong, what did you call Li Jie?" Her eyes sharply looked at the three of them, making their heart come to their throat. Mo Shirong and Song Ping simplyput their heads down. They knew if Jian Tang knew they coerced Li Jie into going to a bar to bully a classmate they were done for.

On the other hand, Bai Lian had never thought on the first day of his work he would encounter so many troubles. First his bullies from school Mo Shirong and Song Ping disrupted his work. And then he was taken by the Li family people for god knows what.

"Madam, there seemed to be a problem. I have done nothing to young master Li." Bai Lian spoke in one breath with all his strength. His eyes were wet as he trembled all over his body. His dark black eyes simply looked bullied.

"Aren't you gardener Bai's son? What was your name again." Jian Tang tried to recall the name but failed. At first she didn't know why Ryan would bring a useless person here. But after a while she remembered the incident of Li Jie participating in high school bullying. It was a good thing that time Jian Tang got wind of it soon and thankfully no harm was done. But Li Jie still wasn't spared by her.

Now that she remembered the victim of the bullying was their gardener's son who studied in the same class as Li Jie.

"Bai-Bai Lian, I am young master Li's classmate." Bai Lian squeezed the words teardrops were sliding from his chicks. Seeing him like that, Mo Shirong and Song Ping could only tremble inside, not daring to move even an inch in the chairs.

At that moment the door of the room opened with a bang and Li Feng walked inside with secretary Tang behind him. His hair was dishevelled and there were dark eye bags below his eyes. He seemed to have aged a few years since last night.

"Jian Tang…" Li Feng directly hugged Jian Tang from behind, not caring about the three teenage boys sitting in front of them. Li Feng didn't seem to be in a state to care about them at the moment. Even if he was in a state to care, his current priority lied with delivering the truth to Jian Tang.

"It was my fault…" Jian Tang felt the man trembling. "I didn't guard against my family properly. The gardener Bai was bribed by uncle. But we still don't know how Li Jie ingested the plant." Jian Tang removed his hand at the same time Li Feng stopped talking. She quickly distanced herself from the man after telling Ryan to take care of the rest.

She was quite calm on the outside but only she knew what was brimming inside.

*The Central hospital*

Li Jie frowned while eating the freshly peeled apples in front of him. According to his previous life knowledge of devil's trumpet, one flower and skin contact shouldn't have knocked him out for a whole day. Right? By eating the flower he lost the award ceremony which was mainly organised by the school for his legendary score.

[Host, what about the plot? You diverted the plot.] System 420 spoke out its grievances. It had never occured to the system a bloodthirsty villain could care less about his well being. Directly jumping to hug death, system 420's algorithm has never considered this outcome.

"Tch." Li Jie ignored it with annoyance written all over his face. "How is it my fault? If you didn't force me, how would my father and doctors think I was trying to use the devil's trumpet as a psychedelic drug?

Not to mention my mother will soon force me into therapy for suicidal behaviour." Li Jie clenched his fist punching the bed below him. He was in no way mentally unstable. He needed to talk to Jian Tang to pause this therapy session or whatever it was.

Bai Ye walked to the scene of Li Jie angrily punching the bed in the patient room. He came inside and strode towards Li Jie performing a checkup for vitals. And nodded his head a smile forming on his lips after knowing everything was right.

"Young Master Li, I am here to inform you about your discharge." Bai Ye spoke, grinning.

"Oh, thanks for the message doctor Bai." Li Jie spoke politely but his words were dry. The reason…

Li Jie quickly turned towards Bai Ye, putting the plate of apples aside. His eyes were bright with killing intent. On the other side, Bai Ye was sweating. First he met this young master Li in a gay bar. Next he turned out to be a patient. Now he had something to say. Bai Ye closed his eyes searching for a reason to reject Li Jie's confession without hurting feelings. His brain was storming reasons to reject people.

Li Jie had no idea what was cooking inside the idiot doctor's mind. He only wanted to make things clear. "Dr. Bai, I don't take drugs. Nor was I trying to use the flower as such. I just felt the flower smelled nice…"

"Yeah-yeah, I understand your feelings…What?" Bai Ye stopped Li Jie mid sentence. His face looked pale with his expression a little defeated. Li Jie nodded 'Yes' on the question. Finally providing the assurance Bai Ye didn't ask for.

"I will take my leave now." Bai Ye soon left the room embarrassed, almost colliding with a nurse outside. Li Jie grinned seeing the scene but his happiness didn't last long.

[Host, be aware that Bai Ye is not an important plot character but a passerby villain character.] Li Jie's face turned grim at the moment, his lips forming a thin line.

"You mean…"

[Yes, he is the child Bai family adopted after the disappearance of their child Bai Lian the protagonist and the destiny's child. After the protagonist will return to Bai's house, the Bai family will sever all connections with Bai Ye to focus all their attention on Bai Lian. It is better if we don't get too close to him.] Li Jie didn't comment on the system's rant but he couldn't understand how parents could just renounce their relationship with a child after more than 20 years.

Would Jian Tang do the same if she knew he wasn't her son? The question passed Li Jie's mind only making his belief of refusing therapy stronger.
