Astral peeked his head up from the blueprints, the five of them were so close to figuring it out. "Miss, if your owner is here, tell him we will pay a million dollars to keep working out here on the patio, we do not need any food or tea, just want the cozy place to work." Astral would write down a couple of things to grab for certain parts of the core and what he would need for the hypertrain tunnels inside of the base for mobility.
Adam would start drawing as Jaimie found the items in the galaxy that Astral wanted. Anders and Astrid were doing the number crunching of how big the base was. James and Angel would have fallen asleep listening to their boring talk. The waitress went back inside and told her boss what she was told. She would come out with her and look to Astral. A nice looking old lady approached the table.
"You guys spend so much money here, and are such valued customers, but allowing you to be here and not receive goods goes against my values. I asked my staff if they would be willing to stay longer if I gave them the million to share. They all agreed. If you want everything for the rest of the night is on the house." The lady smiled. She loved her business and her locals.
Nodding in agreement. Astral would snap his fingers and have a suitcase of money appear next to her feet. "Thank you sir. A fresh meal and a pot of tea is in order."
"Oh, by the way miss. It will only be an hour or two before we are on our way. Thanks for staying open." Astral would smile as the lady was happy. The two would bow to each other as Astral shifted back to the diagrams. "Well, after we eat, we should have this all planned out, then we shall leave them a lil bit more money and call it a day?"
"Astral. All these specific parts you are asking for, are you sure that it's gonna work. Particle accelerators and solar conductors for the core. While the power of it is that of a black hole, wouldn't it eat the base from the inside out?" Adam asked as he flipped to the next page of the notebook.
"To be fair, containing the energy is the first step. I am also setting up a hardlight barrier to contain it. Allowing for two vents in the barrier to be where the power comes from." Astral showed the design he had for the core. Adam looked up and saw.
"So what's the backup power, or what if your barrier falls?" Jaimie asked as she didn't quite get it.
"The hardlight barrier will be incased with a failsafe alloy that can withstand the pressure from the inside of it. Allowing for it to close and put the station in hibernation." Astral paused. "It will kill the core and have the station go onto minimal power mode, relying on the sun pillar network in order for the bare minimums to be met on keeping the station afloat."
Astral smiled as the fresh tea was delivered by the old lady who would start petting James and Angel. The coo's and purr's filled the air when no one spoke. "As for backup power. That shall be miniature suns in these core chambers." Astral would hold out a small tube. "I can expand this and fit a sun inside of it to grow it. There should be four of these running and they won't go dormant for a long time. Allowing for cycling of stars."
"But would that not destroy the solar system that they are from Astral?" Astrid asks.
"Technically yes. But if you take solo stars or solar systems with no life. Makes it more useful. Besides, these suns do have souls. At least, a semblance of one." Astral spoke as he held his hands up and the two stars from the battle tournament glowed lightly. They were all in awe.
Astral snuffed his hands out as the staff came out and delivered the fresh meals for all of them, setting them on the table next to them. "Thank you so much." Astral would speak and bow as he threw together plates of food for James and Angel as Adam kept working.
They smelt the food and woke up. Slowly picking away at it due to them savoring the taste. They loved the food. Astral and Jaimie would sit on the same chair as they ate together, Anders would get a small plate and dish up one for Adam. He would eat with his left hand as he drew with his right. After they ate all of the food Astral would go inside and thank the crew. Leaving another million dollars for them all before they would all go into the warehouse.
Its time, Astral would look into the stars and find the spot to set up. He would create a pocket dimensional loop to warp there. Hopping through he would create a hard light box for everyone to stand in.
"How weird they are." The old lady would speak as the light would be shining out from the warehouse next door.
"Odd indeed, real nice people though." The waitress would mention as the light slowly faded.
The seven of them would stand inside of the box in the emptiness of space. They looked around as there was a solar system filled with many planets. Astral would look at them as they were lifeless. Rings would glow as bright as the stars around him.
Illuminating everyone around him in the box that was turning golden. Looking around him he merged three of the planets together, causing them to go into a hypernova. Astral summoned the hard light bubble and closed it off, it stayed in the bubble that Astral created. They all clapped as Astral would jump out into space and summoned the core shell.
Covering the core and adding the vents for the generators to be working. Astral would then create the shell for the entirety of the core itself. Smiling, he added the pillars for the suns. Letting them float in space as he would create the shell of the core. The four pillars looked like they were supporting the structure.
Rather than being the secondary power source for the entire thing, these should supplement any needs from the station if the core fails. Creating the support beams from the mythic metal he has created. He made sure that this power source would be untouchable from the outside.
Astral pointed his hand at the core and spoke. "Bang." no sound came from his mouth as a blue projectile was fired from his finger. It hit the core's shell and ricocheted away as Astral caught it. He put it into the core to add more energy to the hypernova.
Jaimie looked to Adam as he had all the papers in his hands. "You think this is going to work on the first try?" Adam nodded as Angel and James jumped up and down with excitement, Anders was more or less focused on the science of the core.
