Astral's Rise Part 38: Decor

Astral would start to slowly assemble the rest of the base. With so much empty room to start. The others outside of Adam would work on making more plans to fill it up. Astral would install tunnels in for the hyper train to move through.

These tunnels were massive, Astral did the segmented pieces for ease and to make it if there needed to be turns for the trains. He focused on setting up the pathways. They were serviceable and had platforms to walk on for any emergency exits and the stations get on and off the hyper lane.

Adam would be tossing out a bunch of the parts as Astral summoned all of his clones to him. Several thousand Astral clones would appear in thin air bringing the parts together and assembling them. Tossing the base together and the shell of the entire base in one fell swoop.

The interior may be mostly empty, but the segments where it would be divided at were clear. Each zone had its own area, the civilian sector being mostly a suburban setting as it was laid out as an inverted planet. A sun that shined on half the area at a time. The other half darkened by an artificial cover.

The industrial sector of the facility became Astral's test zone, he redid the layout as the station was half focused for military purposes. He looked to the other zone being the crew quarters, realizing how massive it was, preparing a couple of failsafes before hedging to the area sealed off for him and anyone he wants to include.

He built several compartments for himself as he sealed one away for good. Only accessible using a magic password. He then made a second area to display any trophies or memorials of his, including new stuff he was making for others.

The others had to live inside of the hard light box for what felt like forever. Many bathroom breaks inside of the pocket dimension and several missed meals for Astral as the others ate. After a long week, the exterior was done. Properly shelled and armored up to Astral's standards.

Adam would toss out the rings. Once they were formed the true scale of the base was brought into play. These rings spanned over sixty thousand miles in diameter. Yet they narrowly fit together and they fit snugly around the metal orb floating in space.

Astral hovering would rather have them in the base than space. He would work on the bridge alone, making sure every component of it was only the best of the line for him. For someone who has been around forever the sheer amount of equipment available to have. The point close defenses all the way to long range combat were fully functioning across the shell of the base.

Once he felt the bridge was pressurized and stable for everyone else, Astral teleported all of them from the light box into the bridge. All of the internals were working. Systems operational. All of them outside of Adam rushed to the restroom,

Alexa would be in her full body form mapping out the interior. "Astral, the rings are looking in good shape. I can see all across it. There is just so much to do." Astral would rest his hand on her shoulder and try to calm her down.

"We have plenty of time. Start slowly, this project of building it already took a week." Astral took a breath from exhaustion. He would take naps in his pocket dimension to keep going but would not sleep a good amount until he was done.

Alexa nodded. Realizing that their time frame was years, not minutes. "Where are you starting after making the factory, the automation of the farms and getting our drones rolling in mass relies solely on how well the factory can run." Astral nodded as he and Adam went down into the factory segment as they created the factory lines and machines.

The conveyor belts and robots would be whirring a grinding sound as they worked. Astral and Adam would program the drones and set up for it to be automated by a machine. The drones would start coming off the line and start flowing through the hyper tunnels to their destinations. Already working on the ring of harvest. Astral would snap as Alexa was summoned. "Next work on the rest of the infrastructure. Furnishing will be done by the crew and the drones. Work on the cloning specifics and the animals you want to have farmed are up next."

"Okay infrastructure. Figuring out what we need isn't hard but making it accommodatable is the tricky part." Astral and Adam would draw up several different designs, handing each one to the drones who would make it. Not waiting for a second as this took a year.

The two of them would argue on which one looks better. Secretly Alexa had been making all of these designs so that way it would not be an issue for any of them.

"If you two are done, I think all of the designs work and people can choose their own." Alexa commented. Showing pictures of each place in the base with the different styles of furnishing. Looking at each other they nodded in agreement. "See, compromise, besides, the big thing about this is letting people choose, rather than having the same cookie cutter thing." The two boys would nod in agreement.

"We can't have this place be enslavement. If they come here it is as an evacuation from their main residence." Astral noted down as Adam chimed in.

"Making this a dread destination for all is the goal, the admittance process has to be long however right? What's our expected capacity?" Adam asked as Astral started counting on his fingers.

"Between crew, clones and civilians. Close to fifteen billion." Astral did a double check. The civilian population at ten, and the rest of the crew and clones being the remainder adds up. It won't be ten billion people off the bat but over time.

"Wanna race to the bridge Adam?" Astral spoke as he bounced back and forth excited to relax for a bit.

"Sure, threetwoone go!" Adam threw a bola around Astral's feet and took off. He had him beat as he got to the bridge in less than a second. Astral stood at the planning table smiling.

"What took you so long?" Astral was laughing as Adam did a double take. The two smiled and sat down to eat their meal as more time passed.

While on the bridge he would notice a big problem about the cloning and Anders would show it to Astral as fast as possible. "Astral, the cloned cells from you are deconstructing immediately, they don't even last more than a second." Astral would summon Jaimie and Adam as the three of them worked on the clone programming, or finding a person to clone. The two appeared and Astral would speak.

"So, we can't use any of our DNA for the cloning." Astral showed the two of them what was happening with their cells as they tried to clone the cells. "Which means one of our main army forces is now less likely to happen." He thought for a second as he got an idea.

"Wait, who is our clone doner, it can't be one of us?" Jaimie asked to Astral

"Our DNA clashes with itself if we are cloned outside of those summonable clones." Adam looked over, "Outside of that we have no other candidates."
