Adventure of Astral Part 46: The Iron Throne

Astral had his eyes dart around the display of his helmet. He was taking his time in reading, each line and report did nothing to bring back a memory. He would compare and contrast himself with the people in the documents. He read them over time and got personalities on several key people. Three names began to stick out to him. Adam, Achilles and Airsoft. All the a's made it look like a report card to him. He saw each style and report differences. Then he started to read his reports.

Only two were able to be opened, the rest being locked behind a code. He brushed those ones off for the moment as he looked at the two still viewable for his consumption. The first report was about an alien colony that united under one banner, how he and Jaimie, that name numbed his mind at the thought of her. He shook it off as the report went into detail on how he lost partial control of his powers, his mental blockers and how even he struggled versus a standard opponent. She was the one to finish him off.

He looked at it as the door in front of him toppled over. "Your majesties, the rebels have broken through the outer walls and are outside of the castle, what should we do?" The horde of hybrids looked up at Astral as he smiled. They paused for a moment before they raised their weapons at him.

"Now now, I may have killed the ones that were your leader. But before you try to swing your weapons. Wouldn't you rather run and escape? Leave this place and more importantly me?" Astral paused as the first person charged forward at him. Astral raised his hand lightly as he became trapped in a box of light. "If you hold out at these junctures in the castle. You can slip out through the back wall. The dead there are piled high, but they have no one else to guard it." They paused for a moment as the light box dropped.

"Enough blood has been shed today, you all need to run and live promising lives before it becomes too late." Astral waved his hand as he looked at the second report. He started to get lost in the reading. There were so many details that he had noted, everything from the vacation he took with Jaimie before the war cycle began. Their dealings with the higher ups with the cartel and the flashbang of the spice.

He read the report from James about a man named Diddler, and how the planet became enveloped by a swarm of purple. How they were on the defensive after that, they attacked with everything they had. How his forces dominated. And how the moon became bright with one of his attacks. He looked at all the other files as they were protected by passcodes.

"What would they have been?" Astral looked at each and every one of them. Brute forcing his way through several hundred thousand number patterns. His motion sensor went off in front of him as he paused. Swiping away every screen as there were seven people in front of him according to his sensor. There were nine souls. He looked up and saw Sora, Sanguine, Tina, Lilac, Sugar, James and Angel. "Hey James, what do you remember of the old passcodes?"

James paused for a moment as they all looked to him. He walked forward distracted by what Astral said. "Old passcodes, are you sure you are okay after fighting the Jewels?" James hesitated as Astral stood up and walked from down his throne. He held up an arm as stacks of papers fell around him. Standing taller than either of them.

"We both remember only bits and pieces of the past. We both should relearn what we know." Astral's gaze passed over James directly to Sora. He held up a smaller pamphlet of paper and handed it to James. "Reread these and come back here. Take Sugar and Angel with you, the others stay here." His tone was lighter as he looked only at Sora.

James looked at the paper as his eyes darted up. "You are sure this is what we need to do at this very moment?"

"Exactly what needs to be done." Astral had no hesitation in his response as it was cold and sharp. "Once you read that paper you will then remember something helpful I hope." Astral looked over to James then to Angel. With a light nod the three turned around and left. He watched his tracker as he refixed his gaze onto Sora. He didn't worry about the souls still not adding up as he looked forward, four people, five souls.

"These are former war reports. From the ones that I could access, I will be spending time reading these, the difference being is what you all will be doing, the twins are concerned due to their will to help their people. That is now your job and the first step." Astral summoned three packets of paper as he smiled. His helmet and armor faded for a moment as he looked over to Sanguine.

"You should start clearing rubble and debris, take those who are healthy and work on progressing the clean up process." Astral held up the packet in his left hand as she walked forward and grabbed it. She jogged away as she held the booklet tightly. "Tina, set up the medical area, treating all sorts of wounds, ailments and illnesses." Tina nodded as she grabbed one of the booklets as she flew off.

"Then there was you two, Lilac. I need you to go elsewhere, but where would that be?" Astral's grin turn into a frown as he looked at the last booklet. "Start redistributing resources to everyone, ration out everything and slowly work on a stockpile. Sora and I need to have a few words between each other." Astral held out the last packet as she grabbed it and ran off.
