“Calmed her down? Why? Does Lasair speak to her like they were friends?” Milan asked with a strange tone, but Bishop cared too little about it. The entity didn’t even notice the strange glint in the bride’s eyes when he asked the question.

“As much as I remember, yes. Then again, Aisha Lindsey still chose to serve Lasair as a handmaiden.” Bishop shrugged its shoulder. “Ah, all his brides end up as doll handmaidens. Actually, you’re the only one who lived through the ritual. Has Lasair told you why?”
