Get Rid of Them

At the soft voice, Milan couldn’t instantly put the two together. However, since Esperanza already said that her brother was harmed by the rabid mother, he probably shouldn’t be talking too loud. When they turned to find the man, Augustus walked in with his crutches. His face was even covered in bandages, along with his left leg.

Milan glanced at the totality of the man, keeping his eyes longer at the leg part. “When Esperanza said you were hurt by your mother, I didn’t realize you’d be like chewed on by a stray dog. Should you be walking around? Wait, a chair…”

“It’s heavily bandaged. How could you tell it was filled with huge bites?” Augustus almost growled, but his voice was too soft. When Milan went to look for a chair, he just turned to face Esperanza. “You didn’t go straight here. The others couldn’t find you, either.”
