Let Me Ask For Your Help, Corbin Campbell

“Please be more patient, Mama.”

Milan only sighed after she went out of sight. He then faced Corbin, who turned away as if ashamed of himself. “Don’t worry too much. Even more egoistic and brutal men tremble at the sight of her, more of her smiles. Did she hurt you?”

Corbin relaxed against the seat of his wheelchair. He then looked up at Milan’s face. “Your mom thinks I’m Lasair. Am I that suspicious? Just because I don’t have a good feeling about her coming doesn’t mean I’m the one person who was willing to fight her. Dammit, I think I lost all my nerve to talk to women because of her.”

Milan only giggled before patting Corbin’s face and earning a glare from the older male. “If I don’t speak to Lasair often, I would have suspected you, too, you know. Your attitude is just too different compared to others. Did you get that from the police academy?”
