Jude Is Dead

Jude has completely fallen in love with Lucy but lagged the courage to tell her, he would write a love letter and end up not handing it over to her when they meet after class, on different occasions, Jude would pen down a well written love poem and place it on Lucy's desk for her to see, but Lucy always assume its from anonymous lover or a secret admirer. Jude made up his mind to tell Lucy about how he feels about her and possibly see her reactions, on the other hand Lucy was tired of waiting for him to speak up so she made up her mind to express herself to him even though she believed it would shameful for a lady to do that.

When Lucy got to school, Jude approached her and insisted they talk immediately before their scheduled class that was supposed to start up in the next hour so he took her to their regular spot and brought out a red rose and handed it over to her. Lucy was surprised because that was the least thing she expected from him to do. Then Jude looked her in the eye and in most romantic gesture said, '' I know this might seem like a surprise to you, I feel surprise that I 'm doing this because when I first met you, my only intention was to be your study buddy but as time progresses I noticed you would be a great friend, now I am discovering that I have a greater feelings for you and I want to spend my life with you, I have hidden my feelings because I was scared but now I know that I was hurting my feelings due to my shyness, I love you beyond word and I.....'' while he was still trying to finish the sentence, Lucy grabbed his hands and kissed him profusely, then they stopped and looked at each other for a moment and then returned back to kissing but this time it was more intimate.

After the kiss rough up, they heard the sound of the bell indicating they should run back to their classes for lecture, Lucy told Jude to move on that she would tag along soon, she had heard her master's voice and needed to attend to him. The voice resurfaced and started talking to Lucy about the danger of humans and their associations and when the voice finished, he told Lucy that Jude must die. Lucy for the first time objected the voice and insisted that nothing should happen to the one she fell in love with, but the voice of the master faded away even before she could complete her statement. Lucy ran back to the class for lectures and met Jude smiling at her, he looked warm, handsome and very smart as usual she thought about what she could and achieve without him but she brushed the thoughts aside to avoid getting caught up in her imaginations by the teacher in the class.

After the long lectures, Lucy ran off to get some snack for her new boyfriend in whom she was quite delighted to have because she had yawned for him for the past few month and did not want to use possession to keep him to herself, she had wanted something genuine and pure. On the other side, Jude had gone back to where they kissed in the morning to look for Lucy because she ran off immediately after the class so he felt that she had gone to the corner to wait for him but when he got there, he saw something quite strange; he went closer to the sit axis and saw a headless creature, he was curious because he felt it was just a molded artifact but the moment he moved inches closer, something moved in a bolt-like speed and possessed him. Jude lost control of his senses and started acting funny. He tried to fight it but the vessel that clothed him seem quite strong and aggressive so he gave in. He instantly became suicidal but his memory off Lucy was so strong that he battled to harm himself, the vessel that possessed him started flashing memories of how nobody loves him, of betrayals and how his drunk father abandoned him when he was very little in age. Jude got overshadowed and he climbed the edge of the building cliff and released himself from a 6 storey building where he died instantly.

Lucy was still picking the fanciest of gift for Jude when he heard commotion from the school assembly, she didn't pay much attention because she felt that it wasn't something very serious but while she was at it, someone ran over to her and shouted that ''Jude is dead!!!''. She left everything and ran back to school only to see that people had gathered around the body of Jude, she blanked out.

Lucy noticed the presence of someone from her clan, the demon of suicide who was sent to kill Jude, she was too weak to think. Jude was taken to the hospital and was declared dead upon arrival; Lucy attempted everything to revive him but even the demon of death shut his eye on her. She tried moving her spirit to his body but the body was too broken to sustain life of any such. She pleaded with the soul caretakers but his spirit was far gone.

The burial of Jude was the only burial Lucy attended with grief, much remorse and emotions. She never smiled for once as she grieved in tears without anyone consoling her, she warned the priest not to consume his soul and Jude was laid to rest.

Lucy began to shut down every door that could connect her and the master, she removed the pedals that always give her access to him and she threw it away into the nearest river, she was quite aware that it was the master that sent the demon of suicide to kill Jude, so she wanted off from the clan. The time to fully break out has finally shown and she must be ready to contact Zyana for the next adventure.
