Partnership

Lucy's pain was quite unbearable, she had no consolation from anyone because only her knew what happened. While people were circulating rumors' that Jude was depressed, Lucy knew exactly what happened, she knew it was because of her that Jude died, if not that they became close the master wouldn't have sent the suicidal demon to take possession of his body and make him kill himself. She blamed herself for leaving his sight, for trying to impress him with stupid gifts, she blamed herself for not protecting him with everything, for getting obsessed with him and falling in love with him, then she cried out loud because she can't still tell anyone the true reason why Jude died. For days, Lucy lost appetite for food, assignment and school, she thought about killing herself but she is a demon, her soul will only return to purgatory. She needed to sustain her host body otherwise she would have to look for another body to possess. The Shock and pain was so severe that she started losing weight drastically, she would go to school and not know what was been taught, she would literally forget the time buses leave and then she would get stranded and either trek miles home or call James to come and pick her. The only people that were there for her during this season of pain was James and the family. James would drag her out of the room and take her to coffee shop, sometimes to recreational centres so that she would be happy and cheer up even though its temporal.

Everything reminded Lucy of Jude, the way he looks at her, the way he cherishes her, the way he takes her serious, his calone, scent and aroma. Every day she goes to his grave with a flower and grieve for atleast 2 hours before leaving, she would wish that the master had taken her instead of the pure soul and heart like Jude. She would swear many times to have seen Jude smiling at her in her dreams, she started hallucinating over and over again. James caught her in different times sleep talking to herself, she would just be holding a conversation with something invisible. One day while James was taking her to the school, she got to one point along the school axis and ran off from the car and almost got hit by approaching vehicle, she was running after a boy in front whom she felt was Jude but to her dismay, it was just a random boy going to school. James had pleaded, warned and shouted at her, he had also encouraged her in many occasions but her mental health seems to be deteriorating. James decided to change school for her but this time it would be an all girls schools but Lucy kicked against it and insisted that she would get over it. Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months but Jude never came back to Lucy, she knew that she would never recover from the loss and so she purposed in her heart to take revenge, '' I must visit Zyana'', she said to herself and went to bed in one of the nights.

Lucy had completely blocked every access point through which she can be reached or consulted by any form of demons, she burnt her meeting clothes and pedals, but she retained some personal belongings like the doll and venom potion, she barbed off her hair and eye lashes then changed her dressing sense to look different from usual, her character completely changed within the first one month of Jude's death; the only language that Lucy could understand was REVENGE, and how to scatter anyone on her way.

Lucy set out to meet up with Zyana so they could talk about the modality of their partnership against the kingdom and the clans. She was strong willed and determined to take any actions provided she enjoys any form of revenge in the process. She went back to St Mary's orphanage and had a talk with Zyana the Matron of St mary. In their discussion they aligned their interest, vision and purpose, they discussed about how to recruit new people and also how to attack the clan with them figuring out, they dished out plans and sealed their agreement under the oath.

Lucy took out time to go round the orphanage before returning back to the office, in her little strolling she noticed that so many things have changed, many of the children at St Mary's orphanage had been recruited to become demi demons, she observed that her hideouts have been taken by people, she observed that someone had occupied her bed and her incantation space is now used for games. She saw the boy that she once took to the hill disturbed side of St Mary and observed that the boy has been well groomed, he passed the coronation test and that must have cost him his soul in the process. The strange occurrences deeply feared Lucy because she knew that she will be pretty exposed if a a war should break out and considering that she is now a wanted fugitive and bounty must have been placed on her head, she took precautions and retreated back to Zyana's office. While waiting in the room, she pleaded with Zyana to help her carry her remaining property from hide outs, she had kept them away hoping to come back after finishing with James and Jenny's family, but Lucy has turned from a loyal soldier to a traitor in the sight of the master and other higher ranked demons. The master had announced that Lucy was be found and casted out because if example is not set, other demons might think its ideal to disobey the master's wishes. Zyana was able to recover the possessions Lucy, she also realized that Lucy was the popular baby that cries every midnight but when someone goes to find the crying baby, the baby would disappear; She believed that her partnership with Lucy would lead to something quite interesting.
