TRUTH NEVER PREVAIL!

"Dryan, Dasya just went for Mirrun. He will be there before us". Aro, who just walked into his chamber without his consent, uttered loudly.

"Hey, go". Dryan instructed the two ladies who were naked, their body on him, obviously doing something.

"Not again, Dryan! You have seven concubines! Aren't they enough? Why go so slow to do the level of those things?" Her questions made him burst into loud laughter.

"Mother, I guess those acclaimed 'things' are special when it comes to poisoning the king, poisoning Luciana decorations, shooting the arrow, right?" As he asked those questions, his hands were busy arranging his robe.

"Back to what brought me here, your highness", she echoed before she walked up to him.

Dryan remained silent as he came down from his mattress. His gaze fully at her.

He is no longer afraid of Aro, nor is he carefree about her advice, and plans. He won't let her ruin him.

No matter how much he thinks about Chila's words, they were all true. The truth that he was never opportune to hear.

"What will we do if Dasya's men have Mirrun? Don't you know the stress, and hard work we put into bringing Khara here, did you want it to waste?" Her questions made him burst into another round of laughter. This time, it was loud and provoking.

She gritted her teeth as she tried her best to avoid acting rash. She must win back her son's heart, or lose it forever.

"Mother, I told you, I will not only run on my two feet, I will fly with my wings". He paused as tried to suppress his laughter.

His action already stated it all. Dryan is a changed person. A person who is ready for the deadly battles ahead of him!

"I don't care if you can touch the sky! We started it, and we will end it together!" Her voice toned with determination, she yelled loudly without caring if she was in his chamber.

A dangerous smirk made its way to her lips as she watched her son move his hand in a rational motion.

"Queen Aro, I forgot I haven't given you a response. Mirrun is on the way here. Tani's eagle is the fastest creature in the universe". He smiled as he uttered those words calmly.

"What about that stubborn girl?" Aro readjusted her gown before she sat down, her hair falling from its unpacked ribbon.

She slid a strand of hair which made its way to her face.

"That is it. Just slide away those covering our face". Dryan muttered viciously.

Aro chuckled softly. She knew things might be a bit complicated, but she loves the outcome of everything.

She had successfully made Dryan see things the same way she does.

"Dryan, we will be sliding away Mirrun, Zale, and Dasya. Isn't it a thing of joy?" She whispered closely.

"Of course. They are irritating strands of hair". He chuckled loudly before crossing his both legs, his hand arranged his rough hair.

Even in silk, he looked costly, and handsome.

"Your highness, they are here. Mirrun is in the torture room". Dryan guard informed him, his knees on the ground with his head bowed.

A curl smile made its way to the corner of Dryan lips as he lifted a knife which was wrapped with red cotton.

"Do it well. You know I don't love blood, so I won't be there". Aro gave him a reassured look before she walked out.

"Why be happy when you can create happiness". He laughed at his words before he walked out.

He walked through the main hall with a silk gown covering his face to avoid being seen.

In no time, he arrived at the entrance of the torture room.

Slowly, he removed the silk covering his face.

"My Lord, I thought it was an intruder. I would have stabbed…"

"Is everything going as planned?" His question interrupted Tani.

"Yes". "He is inside. He had been begging for help". She chuckled silently before she walked away.

Without delay, Dryan kicked the door open before he walked into the dark room.

He brought out his fire light, which made the place a bit clearer. He could see Mirrun clearly; his body hugged to the wall, his hair roughly packed, and his cloth stained with blood.

"Dryan! Why are you? What did I do to deserve this punishment? Have I not been you and your mother's dog? Have I not been a liar because of you both? What have I done wrong in taking you both sides?" Mirrun, whose sight was blurry, asked calmly.

He dared not raise his head to stare at Dryan. He knew if he tried such, he might lose his eyes just as Tani informed him.

"Because you desist from taking our side, that was the reason you deserve this! When you were doing everything for us, didn't we do everything you requested? Why did you take that devil's side!" Dryan yelled at him as he walked up to him. His voice stated how angry he was.

"Dryan, you, and your cruel mother are the devil! You know the truth!" Even though Mirrun's voice was already weak, he managed to yell.

"Have you ever seen the truth win? For twenty years in this castle, don't you know how those truthful, and honest people ended? When did you choose your death? Now or before he met you?" His questions made Mirrun burst into sudden laughter.

After a while, Mirrun stopped his laughter before he began. "Did you think I did not know I was going to die when you killed that young girl who didn't receive a motherly love?"

"Then I think I will also be straight with my words since you also are". Dryan smirked dangerously before he began.

"Since you already chose the death of both you, and your daughter. Death you both shall get!" His voice laced with sincerity, it echoed through the dark room.

"My daughter?" He chuckled faintly. He knew Dryan was lying. He is trying to make him do his bidding.

Dryan raised Mirrun's head before he asked. "Would you like to see your daughter's corpse?"

The question made Mirrun urinate instantly. "Did Da..."

"Did you think Dasya will save the person who is full of lies? When has truth ever prevailed? Did you think Dasya isn't a liar? What kept him alive for the past years? Was it his sincerity?" Those questions made Mirrun finally raise his head.

His face was wet with tears, his eyes filled with bloodshot. His cheeks were wounded.
