IT WAS A TRAP!

On seeing Dasya, the guards immediately opened the door.

Dasya coughed slightly before he walked into his chamber. He knew if he was going to come out of his chamber, he would no longer be prince Dasya.

"My Lord, Luciana is awake. This while, her energy has improved". Minister Koi's words made him confused.

"Koi, what did you mean? What about the physical torture? Isn't it the reason she passed out? How did her energy end up getting improved?" Dasya, who suspected something fishy, asked loudly.

His voice was so loud that his guards who were outside heard everything he said.

"My Lord, my work is to treat the royal. I think I am done with my work". Minister Koi smiled before he picked up his materials, which he slid into the small white cotton bag.

"You better be right! If I find out her energy flow gets worse, you, I swear, your families are nothing good as ash!" His words did not even scare Koi.

Minister Koi chuckled at Dasya words before he walked away.

"What is happening? Did he just smile? I think something is wrong! Everything is!" He echoed to himself before he walked up to Luciana, who was looking pale, and sleeping soundly.

Slowly, he bent closely to her head level before he placed his hand on her forehead. She isn't cold, neither is she hot, her body temperature felt normal.

"Luciana, please wake up. I need you. Without you, I won't be able to live". As he placed his hand on Luciana's forehead, the words of the old woman which he helped kept echoing in his head.

He doesn't help people. He hates helping anyone because they are ungrateful, and pays back with regrets.

On one of the rainy days, he helped a woman who was freezing in the cold rain. That was the first time he felt pity for anyone.

He decided to help her, and the woman gave him one of the answers he seeks for as a reward for his kindness.

"I won't leave you. I'm just resting. The pain is unbearable". Luciana's words made him jerked off his thoughts as he returned his gaze to her face.

"Thank you. Please keep your promise". He cuddled her small hand before he uttered.

Even in sleep, she looked pretty. She smiled quietly as she heard him echo. "I promise".

"I did not say that for you to reply. Just return to your sleep". He took his hands from hers before placing it on her forehead, which looked sweaty.

Luciana opened one of her eyes before she uttered. "Sleep next to me, please".

Her pleas made him chuckle. "O..."

"Dasya! Dasya!" Dasya was interrupted by the hoarse voice of Zale.

Immediately Luciana heard Zale's voice, she pretended to be fast asleep. She didn't know the reason behind her fear. Each time she sees him, she always has strange feelings.

"Zale what is it? Why are you panting? Is there a problem?" After he walked up to Zale who was managing to catch some air, he inquired curiously.

"You will be.."

"Zale, if you come here to tell me that, you can leave. I don't want Luciana to know what happened". Before Zale could complete what he was saying, Dasya interrupted him.

He knew if Luciana should know this, he is going to pester him, and act silly.

"Okay. I'm not here for that". Zale frowned as he echoed.

He did not know why, he disliked his brother's attitude. He can't differentiate between Dasya's pretends and lies.

"Then what are you here for? Why did you come all the way from your chamber?" Dasya asked, his curiosity was obvious.

"There is trouble. I did not know this was happening soon, and I'm getting married. This isn't what I expected". Zale roughed his hair as he uttered each word, heartbroken.

Dasya gasped as he listened to Zale. This isn't what they expected!

"I think they are a step faster than us. What are we going to do?" Zale asked.

The thought of what might happen scared both Dasya.

'Dasya will be killed on the day of his brother's marriage. The day that was supposed to be his brother's happiest day, will turn out to be the miserable day of his life'.

"Dasya, please come up with something. Please do something about this". Zale went on his knees as he pleaded.

He knew Dasya might come up with a plan. He did not care if the plan turned out to be the hardest, he was ready to execute it.

"If I use my flame again, I might end up burning the whole kingdom. I have been losing control, and we can't come up with any plan. Besides, I'm going to be hung in four days time". Zale broke into tears as he heard Dasya uttered.

How can it be on the day of his royal engagement?

"Th–the day of my marriage? Was this all planned? So, Dryan wanted to ruin my life from the start?" The question escapes his shivering lips as he could do nothing other than to rough his hair.

"What did you mean by they wanted to ruin your life?" In amusement, Dasya asked.

"The person I am getting married to is Princess Karena. She is the daughter of King Ganji. The worst of it is that she is blind".

Dasya's eyes widened at the turn out of everything.

How will he be able to persuade the princess not to get married to Zale? Which king won't be happy to send off a handicap?

"My lord, Khara is gone". His guards announced.

"Khara, Mirrun daughter?" His eyes widened as the question came out from his lips.

Afraid of what might happen to him, the guard could only nod his head.

"What were you doing when she was gone? What about your men?" Dasya brought out his sword as he questioned his guard.

Everything seemed wrong. Everything that happened was all traps created by Aro, and her son.

"We…"

"Why should I waste my time when you all are the same?" The groan of the guard echoed in his room as he felt extreme pains from the stab.

"Dasya, why did you stab him? Don't you know he might die?" Zale asked hastily.

"I don't care if he died! More people will die today!"
