WHY AREN'T YOU TELLING ME?

Mirrun could only stare sternly at Dasya as he watched him asked several questions.

Even without talking, Dasya already knew the response of Mirrun. He knew Mirrun will never risk his life by fighting against those two dreadful people.

"Mirrun, If you answer all my questions correctly, I might help you run away from the kingdom with your only daughter". Dasya stroked his hair as he muttered.

His fierce look showed the sincerity in his words. His voice made his intentions obvious.

"Dasya, I will do anything you say. I want to get out of this rotten kingdom, and live happily with my daughter. I am a stupid, and useless father to her". More tears ran his cheeks as what he did replayed in his head.

The moments he abandoned her for royal orders, saved Zale from drowning instead of his daughter, who drowned together with Zale. The moments he hits her because she wanted his fatherly love, which he never gave. Those rainy days he would abandon her to catch a cold, yet prevent the royal siblings from cold— He regretted those moments he didn't act as her father.

He was indeed a bad father!

"Dasya, please help me". After waiting for a while without getting Dasya response, he went on his knees as he pleaded.

"So you can actually beg?" Dasya burst into loud laughter before he began. "Why did the king marry her? And wasn't she Taliyah in her womb when my mother died? Did my father have an affair with her when I was not born?"

His questions sounded hard, but he has to answer it. Either sincerely or by lying.

"Dasya, I started working as the king's favorite guards about twenty years, then you all were young. So, I don't know what really happened". He uttered each words in fright, his body trembling at where he sat.

"Man, you don't need to fear. I can be called the devil, but did you see my claws out, or did you think my demon will stoop so low to suck your blood?" His question made Mirrun to swallow the lump in his throat as he coughed slightly.

"I…"

"I don't need your complement, neither did I ask for your useless words ". Dasya interrupted him. "If you were the king's favorite guard , how did you get promoted to a minister?" Furthermore, Dasya asked. His eyes piercing into Mirrun's scary eyes.

Mirrun adjusted his silk before he took his eyes away from Dasya. Will he tell him lies or the truth? What if telling him the truth is like waking the sleeping tiger? What if lying means digging his grave?

"I did something for the king. I won his honesty, and he promoted me as a reward for being one of his loyal servants". With a bit of confident in his voice, he managed to utter.

After he heard what Mirrun said, he let out a deep breath before he asked. "I heard you were promoted because you saw something, but was instructed to keep shut, is that truth?"

Dasya's question made his eyes widen as he gritted his teeth. He knew the consequences of what he just did.

"My… My…"

"You want to explain the reason you lied to me, or was I wrong?" He isn't supposed to be doing this, but he has no option rather than to.

Dasya isn't the type that like too many talks. He is too straight forward. It either you die by his hand or get saved by him.

"It was a lie". Mirrun response made him smirked dangerously as it amused him.

How can he think of lying when death is behind him?

"Then, can I know what the truth was? Or did you expect me to take what you said earlier as the truth?" His redden eyes giving off the scary aura, his hand holding one of his favorite artifact which was always with him as his voice took the peaceful air.

"What I said was true, but there is more which I didn't say". His words peak Dasya attention.

"Why aren't you telling me all? Are you playing with me? Did you think I will spend all day talking about this?" Dasya asked loudly, his voice made Mirrun trembled in terror.

He knew what befalls him if Dasya lose control.

"To be honest, the reason I was accepted as the royal guard was because I heard something. It's something that might cost many people's lives. Yes, many people already lose their lives". Mirrun paused, his lips shivering as it allowed those words came freely from them.

"Why did you stop! Why aren't you telling me anything?! Why!" He asked, this time, he felt himself losing control.

His eyes became reddish. His fingers grew a bit longer, his face became paler.

"I heard the king sai..."

"My Lord, your attention is needed. Physicist Koi required your attention". One of Dasya royal guards bowed as he relayed the message from Koi to him.

"Save it for next time. I will surely come around, for now, I will make sure to protect you, and your daughter". He whispered into Mirrun's ear before he turned to face his guard. "You, take him to my hidden house on the island, and make sure you protect him. If an ant touches him, your entire family are dead!"

His masculine voice, which sounded like a threat, echoed in the guard's ear.

"My Lord. I will." With that, the royal guard walked up to Mirrun.

Mirrun glared at Dasya before he walked up to him. "Don't trust anyone".

"I should be the person telling you that, oddy". Dadya whispered with a bright, yet odd smile on his face.

As he watched his guards walk alongside Mirrun, he let out a deep sigh, which was caused by his curiosity.

'What does he really mean by those words? And what is the reason he was accepted, and promoted, in that short while? What is King Zayley, Aro, and Dryan hiding from everyone? Why is everything confusing me?" As he walked away from the elder of council, each question brought up another questions.

This time, his curiosity made him anxious. "I think It is time to bring down Dryan, and his evil mother!" Reassuring himself, he walked through the hall until he got into his chamber.
