The Mayan ceremonial dagger had an inscription in the ancient language that read: "Offer thy heart". It's obviously an instruction left by the past inhabitants of this forgotten place, but who would be stupid enough to stab himself in the heart with a rusty old knife found inside a tombstone?

After activating my battery pack the dagger shimmers brightly in a cyan light, the creatures are coming, I can hear their steps.

Uriel followed the rowdy men to a place not far from his hideout. It was an apartment building located right where the slums ended and a well off neighborhood began. He had no clue as to where were they taking him, but he was sold as soon as he heard there was a chance to double their earnings.

For his new 'friends' it may be at most fifty credits, but Uriel was able to turn trites into credits and had a decent sum already. His eyes were briming with greed as he entered the building, though instead of heading to the elevator and going up, they went downstairs to the parking garage.

Something like that was strange to say the least, especially considering that clearly none of them owned a vehicle. However, things became clear to him once he noticed that instead of a parking garage, the place had been turned into an open space with bleachers.
