The Mayan ceremonial dagger had an inscription in the ancient language that read: "Offer thy heart". It's obviously an instruction left by the past inhabitants of this forgotten place, but who would be stupid enough to stab himself in the heart with a rusty old knife found inside a tombstone?

After activating my battery pack the dagger shimmers brightly in a cyan light, the creatures are coming, I can hear their steps.

The revenants that used to be scattered all over the outpost vanished not long after being bathed by sunlight leaving behind nothing but moss and insects behind. Needless to say, Uriel was beyond disappointed that they didn't drop any flux orbs, but what annoyed him the most was the countless insects that now swarmed the place.

He was tempted to activate his Dash skill and kill them all, but he knew it would have been a waste of his much needed flux energy since Young, Rusty and a few of the strongest revenants took cover behind the wall, though Uriel knew it was pointless to even spend bullets on them since they would likely regenerate over and over. Besides, he didn't intend to stay any longer in that outpost.

In a sense, just surviving the night was enough for him to win the battle, but he now had questions he needed to answer and fortunately, there were enough people to interrogate.
