Bet against the system Part 1

Before sunrise, the Pegasus descended the bare minimum height in order to allow Uriel, Medusa and Kalos to jump off the ship safely by using long ropes and a harness. It was a necessary precaution as it was a well known fact that all sorts of strange creatures roamed the barrenlands on a daily basis, ranging from small harmless critters to ancient hulking giants of untold power and stumbling up onto them was a matter of luck.

Dropping from such heights wasn't new to Uriel, but things were different for Medusa whose body stiffened at the ledge of the open cargo bay door. Her fear was more than understandable from any point of view, considering how she was about to jump blindfolded into a dark open area where starving cryptids awaited for their next meal.

"I- I think I'd rather stay here." She said, her knees shivering and not because of the cold wind that broke into the ship's cargo bay.
